I'm just curious how respective districts performed, so I thought this might be fun.

How many of your teams are in the playoffs and how did your district do in the 1st round?

Bay Rivers District (BRD)
-6 of 9 eligible teams made the playoffs (67%)
-all 6 teams played teams from out of the BRD

4-2 in 1st Round
-Lafayette (W) over Churchland: 56-12
-Warhill (W) over Heritage: 35-13
-York (W) over Park View-SH: 17-14
-Poquoson (W) over Nottoway: 44-6

-Smithfield (L) to Lake Taylor: 21-63
-New Kent (L) to Phoebus: 28-16

[Lafayette Rams]

The vaunted Peninsula District was 1 for 6 with only Phoebus winning. Heritage- NN, Gloucester, Warwick, Kecoughtan and Woodside exited in the first round. Most around here know this was the worst year here for football in the Peninsula District in a very long time.

Dulles District:
Three teams got into playoffs made up of six spots: Loudoun County(3 Seed), Riverside(6 Seed) & Woodgrove(1 Seed)

Friday Night saw Loudoun County defeat Riverside @ Home.
This Coming Friday night Loudoun County travels to Woodgrove.

The Central District had 4 teams qualify.

Class 6 Thomas Dale defeated Cosby. Next up Manchester.
Class 4 Dinwiddie defeated Courtland. Next up Monacan.
Class 3 Hopewell defeated Petersburg (unfortunately they are both our teams) Next up a rematch with Norcom.

Three tough games this week. Hopewell has the best chance of advancing. Thomas Dale has virtually no chance of beating Manchester.

District went 2-2: Eastern View and Spotsylvania won.

7 of 8 teams made the playoffs.
As someone stated earlier, they went 5-2 with Rustburg losing to fellow district opponent, Heritage.

Heritage beat Rustburg
Brookville beat Fluvanna
JF beat Salem
Glass beat William Byrd
Liberty-Bedford beat Spotswood
Rustburg lost to Heritage
LCA lost to Blacksburg

At least two of the remaining 5 Seminole teams will be eliminated this week as Heritage plays Brookville again and EC Glass plays JF again.
