I'm just guessing that Roy Dixon got his scholarship because either

a) We had an open scholarship and Dixon is a senior, so why not give it to him.

or

b) coach Collins has realized that he will have to use DIxon when Buie needs a rest. Would be somewhat embarrassing to have a walk-on in that role...

The record shows that Roy has logged a total of 2 minutes of playing time against Big Ten competition in his 3 seasons with the Cats.

I think we have multiple to give away, because ccc is such a great recruiter and all. Lucky he was able to get a walk on to sign.

Yeah, we are able to give him a scholarship because we had so many open ones. But, way to make what was a heart-warming story about a kid who worked hard and embodied everything you want into a rip on Collins.

I for one am happy for the kid and his parents. Watching his teammates reaction was priceless and certainly more impressive.
