Several years ago I posted a thread like this one. It's slow season right now for college football (other than summer camps), so I post this thread now. It's basically to help possibly connect people on here who might know each other and don't realize it.

Give as much (or as little) information that you want that might help you connect and see what happens. When I did this a few years ago, it ended up being a multiple page thread (something like 10 pages) and several connections were made.

So, have at it and enjoy reconnecting!

Probably don't know me as im out of state but I'm sure some of you on here know my uncle. He has to be the longest tenured employee in the athletic department... by a mile. Great guy.

Well you and I are the exact same age and were at UK at the same time. Never left Lexington, been here since birth. By the way, thanks for your service.

My name is Tony McElwain and I am in a band in Louisville with my 2 sons Dustin and Nick and a singer named Tommy Miller.

The band is called Kirby's Dreamland and we play all over Louisville.

You might have seen us at events such as the Bud Tent at the State Fair or any number of other clubs and events.

I've always been curious if any of our following is on here but I do know that a lot of our following are UofL fans...

THAT'S another reason that it's so painful to lose to the Cards!

Sometimes I have to face those people at a gig on the same day of the games.

I know you Tony, we've spoken on a few occasions.

Anyone in or around Louisville, do yourself a favor and get out to see Kirby's Dreamland if you haven't already...amazing talents, phenomenal band.

When I bought my house years ago and did the final walk through, Tommy Miller was the project manager, and your former drummer from the Silverloop days (Greg I think?), was involved in the construction as well.

Anyways, my name is Chris, Bullitt East class of 91', WKU 91'-96'. I also play guitar in a new Louisville band called My Pet Octopus in bars/clubs around town...Gerstle's, New Direction, etc. What helps ease the pain in losing to the Cards is having two other band mates who are also diehard, blue bleedin' Cat fans.

Hey Chris!

I grew up with Greg and he'd still be my drummer if I wasn't playing with my kids...

Get out and see us soon and keep me posted as to where you're playing.

Also, you can hit me up on Facebook.
