I was thinking we may see a vote or two. I do not expect a win in 2 weeks but if it happened, we would most likely find ourselves in the 22-24 range. we wouldnt jump inside 20. But then it makes the Iowa game very interesting.

No. We are Rutgers.. Even if we had beaten Wisconsin I don't think we'd be getting any at this point.

I think you need to beat a good team to be ranked... we've played well and I don't take anything away from the team, but you need to do more (if you're RU) to get that respect.

Come on man, don’t play the victim card. Duke football isn’t exactly a household top 25 type team. They are ranked 16th because they have shown it on the field. If RU does it on the field, they will get the respect.

I have to go back to Iowa- they were ranked and didn't beat anyone good...

It's a fair point, but they started from a higher point in the minds of the voters (justified or not). At least, IMO that's why we won't get votes. I'll be happy to be wrong though!

A lot of AP voters literally don’t watch any other game other than the team that’s their beat. They look at a bunch of scores and record, then fill out their poll. Not inconceivable they see our good record and throw us at 24 or 25.

No.. beat Iowa on the road. Yes
yeah.. this.. beat Iowa.. and don't look unworthy vs Ohio State. 7-3 should we lose to OSU and beat Iowa.. that might be worthy of votes.

Funny thing.. Houston got screwed over late vs Texas.. was hoping Texas would lose a 2nd game.. I said.. after we win out, both us and Texas would have 2 losses and we should get a CFP slot over them (hahah)... and we'd need help with others beating Michigan so we'd win the Big Ten East.... it will be November with that still a technical possibility.

I think it would’ve helped if NW won their game. We didn’t just beat NW, VTech, Indiana and Temple. When you look at MOV it looks very good. Only the Michigan State game was close. But look at Oklahoma vs UCF and dozens of other close calls. They happen to even the best occasionally. For the most part, we left no doubt in our wins.

North Carolina had to be the most overrated 10th ranked team in the country before the Virginia loss. They’ve played one game away from home so far. Needed OT against Appalachian State.

We shouldn’t be ranked right now.

But it’s also worth nothing that it’s not so easy to win 4+ FBS games in a season by 3 scores. I’m not sure when the last time we did this, but it had to be a good while ago. For perspective, look at 2014. That was a pretty good team. We only beat Tulane, Indiana and UNC by 3 scores. Actually - Howard was a 13 point win and our other wins we’re all by 7 points or less.

We should wind up 42-45 this week in the AP and 48-52 in the coaches poll

Michigan hasn't beat a ranked team all year and cheated their way to do it. Yet they are still #2.

We get votes this week. We’re a 6-2 B1G 10 team. 95% of the voters don’t look at anything but records

Played only 2 winning teams and lost
Played Wagner which is just shameful for a B1G team
But RU has gotten better and should be able to knock off a decent team or two if health remains.
Fast twitch running teams get better as season goes on.
I see RU OL sliding into 2 blocks on a play
Machine is clicking

Not sure that someone can say something more ignorant, than this. Bama played Chattanooga. Georgia played UT Martin. Tennessee plays Austin Peay. Texas A&M has Abilene Christian. All of them only play 8 conference games, not 9.

Do we get more votes then Iowa? Both have 3-2 conference records and 6-2 overall. They were ranked #24 but will be out of the rankings with the loss. They played Penn State, we played Michigan. They beat Wisconsin, will most likely be the difference.

As a B1G 6-2 team, we will definitely find ourselves in the ORV section in single digits

Sorry, I didn't explain my self well and just did a quick answer. No we will not get votes as voters are lazy and we are not a household name and have no pedigree of being good so voters aren't looking to vote for us. We need to beat one of the big 3 in order to start getting some votes.

Somebody will see 6-2 (3-2) and put vote for us in the 23-25 range. 6-1-1 ATS with many of the wins tripling those numbers.

That's nonsense. Yes we won't get maybe all the votes we deserve but we are 6-2. Because the voters are lazy they won't do a deep dive into who we beat. We will get votes.

There are 4 teams that got votes last week, 4 of them lost. Even after losing yesterday Clemson will still get votes at 2-3/4-3 just because they are Clemson. Wash St, Wyoming, WVU, and #24 Iowa shouldn't get any votes this week. We will know after 2pm how it goes.

The colleges you mentioned are closer to New Hampshire, Fordham, Colgate, UMass and many others. They have real college ball stadiums. Wagner stadium is identical to most of my local HS stadiums and inferior to others. They had (2019 - last available) average attendance of 2,075/game - Rowan gets 1.954. FBS requirements have 15,000 as a requirement. Wagner is scraping the bottom of the barrell - would never have games with OSU, UM, BAMA and so on. UConn yes.
