Do we overtake UVA for the #2 spot?

UVA ended up winning the conference by 1 game 28-2 (16-2) while Duke is 28-3 (15-3), does Duke's overall schedule an OOC slate help Duke swap places or does UVA having the reg season crown make things stay put?

I think we've both locked up one seeds, now if we were to win the ACCT then we'd be a lock for the #2 behind UK. But even if we lose in the ACCT i think we end up with a 1 seed.

I think the only way UVA jumps Duke now is to win the ACC Tournament. If they both lose in the tournament, Duke will be above them (as obviously Duke would be if they win the tournament). This kind of thing is valuable as far as the type of 2 seed you get (or the 1 seed you are put with if you are a 2).

I was waiting for this to come up, I've just been settled on the 1 in the south with Zags. It feels right to me. That said, I wanna win the ACC big time, and if/when we do, I think it will make us the overall #2 seed. I rarely care about what 2 seed is in our bracket. It's the 4 seed i pay most attention. Somebody like Oklahoma or Iowa st in Texas would be much tougher then say NIU in New York. With the way were playing I'm gonna feel good regardless I think. Althought the teams in front of you in the tourney always sound MUCH tougher then they do now.

It's gonna be fun!!!

GO DUKE

I agree with this.

It's interesting to me that our only losses were in conference. We had a tough schedule outside of the conference this year.

If we lost on Thursday in the ACC Tournament I could see us sliding to the 2-line in the event that Wisconsin, Arizona, and Villanova take care of their business. If we make the Finals next Saturday, win or lose, we're a #1 seed.

IMO Duke should have already wrapped up a 1 seed based on their resume to date. With that being said a Thursday night loss coupled with the bubble 1 teams winning their conference tourney could give the committee enough to yank Duke out of a top spot....Rankings are historically knee jerkish and over value recent games as compared to stronger games earlier in the year....If Duke wins Thursday I don't think the committee will move them out of a 1 seed regardless of any hypothetical outcome.

With that said when did the ACC tournament move to a Saturday night championship game?
