I’m lazy and don’t feel like going back and looking at what top 5 teams lost this week.

I would say yes, We lost Butler in the Clemson game, beat Gonzaga without Butler and the back up PG>

Irrelevant to me, we got a chance to get out of December and into Conference play with only one loss. That is huge!!!

Remember as a kid, getting the Sunday paper, going to the Sports stats section and combining the polls and averaging them to come up with my "own". Is Sagarin ratings still even around or has Ken Pom or the NET supplanted that one?

I think they're all still around. The AP poll is just an anecdotal/opinion poll, but it's usually somewhere in line with how the seeding falls in March. Most AP voters don't do crazy stuff like voting Clemson #1 in the country after beating UK last week. Even the homers are still relatively "fair".

4/5 of the next games are at Rupp, including ranked UF to kick off SEC play.

OSU at Madison Square Garden should be a UK win. I caught a little bit of one of OSU's wins and they are nothing near any of the last 4 teams we've played (yes, I believe WKU and GSU played tougher than what I saw from OSU).

After UF though we have two TOUGH road games before back at home for 2 more tough games, and then two more on the road against Vandy and UT. January is going to be WOWSERS.

Polls are important for many, so why not just let people talk about it?

Never said they couldn't talk about it. I said what's relevant is the big wins come selection Sunday.

It will help separate UK from the big pile of other sec teams we are gonna be competing with for seeding.
