Golf Books for me. Think it would also be cool to have a wine collection from all the golfers out there. Surprised how many players have their own wines.

Any of you have any interesting collections, besides debt, ex wives etc. lolz

Derby glasses. 1948, 3-4 from the 1950's, and 1960-Present.

Cats' Pause Yearbooks. Have every year except 1981-82.

Tons of old baseball/basketball/football cards, but no longer a collector.

^How hard is it to get those 1950's glasses?

Most of the 1950's can be found on ebay fairly frequently. The 1940's are a bit more difficult. Doubt if I will ever have a complete set, simply because I don't want to spend the $3,000-4,000 that a couple of those 1940's glasses usually go for.

I used to collect comic books, but stopped buying years ago. Still have them stored in boxes, and I plan to sort through and keep my favorites, one of these days.

My claim to fame is that I once held one of these in my hands:

I wish I could say that it was mine! An antiques dealer I knew found it at the bottom of a box of trains he had purchased. Crazy.

Woah, I had no idea some were worth that much. The wife and I had pre-derby brunch this year and only used glasses from the 40's-60's for juleps. We thought that they were a neat touch. I guess we need to put those away for safe keeping.

My future Man Cave will have a UK theme, of course, but at the bar area I want to display some nice breweriana. For that reason, I've picked up a few Hamm's items, including one of these:

Hamm's produced a lot of incredible motion signs, back then.

This was 25 years ago, and it had a fold mark down the center of it, unfortunately... but the guy sent it to one of the big auction houses and got almost 30K for it.

I wonder what it'd go for now? It's said there are maybe 100 copies known to exist, but less than 10 of them are graded in a condition to get the superbuck$ from collectors. One of the best sold for 3.2 million on Ebay about 2 years ago.

1938, 1940, and the war years are about the only ones that command big money. Most everything from the late 1940's present are relatively cheap ($200 or less for the 50's, way, way cheaper from 1960-present).

Bourbon and books

I also grab matchbooks whenever I see them. Wouldn't say I'm a collector but I have quite a few.

If you're looking for the '81-'82 yearbook, I'm fairly certain I have a copy just collecting dust in a foot locker. Email me on [email protected] if you're interested.

Please withhold your usual jokes until complete. TIA.

- Czech Simax glassware.
- Beer bottle caps, primarily US and German, mostly craft for the former.
- Pre-1982 pennies.
- German beer glasses and beer steins.

Carry on.

I was into the firearms and knives thing during the 80s-90s. Lost interest.
