Do you like the taste of beer?

Normally I don't like Budweiser very much, but after a long, hot day an ice cold bud is incredible.

Not really

I’m more of a toker than a drinker. When I do drink, it’s usually bourbon.

But I do enjoy the occasional beer with chicken wings or at summer cookouts with brats or burgers. Beer isn’t a taste I like regularly, but it’s great occasionally.

Not to be pedantic (but being pedantic), all ales are beer but not all beers are ale. Beer is either an ale or lager depending on the fermentation technique and yeast. :)
beer = lager. ale = ale. You said it yourself: different fermentation & yeast.

Many years ago in high school, we would go to the bootlegger and buy beer, then to the drive inn. I never did like it though, just had to keep up with my buddies. Probably about 20 years ago, one hot July day while I was out working on my truck, a friend stopped by with some ice cold beer, drunk one straight down, it was good.

Used to mix pure grain and grape juice, that was good, screwdriver, wine is good. Tequila with the salt and lime isn't bad, that stuff will knock you on your rear quick. Only alcohol I've drunk in many years though, is Nyquil.

Never could get into liking beer. If I got a beer when I was out with some buddies when I was younger, the damn thing would be warm before I finished half of it. I gravitated toward mixed drinks like Long Island Iced Tea.

It's probably been 10+ years since I've had any kind of alcohol/liquor and I really don't miss it. I guess part of the reason I gave it up so easy is that I grew up with an abusive alcoholic stepdad and it made me want to not end up like him.
