Have you stopped wearing a mask?

I fixed thread title. Very confused as to how that even happened as I did not change it the first time. Oh well.

Surely it wasnt that hard to answer the poll question anyway.

Been vaccinated since May, so no mask, but I'm keeping one in case I need to shovel snow and it's 25 degrees and windy again. Mask kept my mug warm this past winter with the pesky snows we kept getting.

I think you missed the point about what was wrong with the thread title versus the poll question.

Pfizer told me I'm pretty safe except in the deep south. At least until a booster is necessary.
Those damn maga:

I know you have to politicize everything, but #'s show one of the most vaccine hesitant group are African Americans...you know bc there's a history of forced sterilization and what not. But libs can't address this bc then it would hurt the talking point that they aren't vaccinated bc its actually bc everyone is racist and they're continued stance that black ppl are incapable if doing anything bc of it. Wokeism at its finest.

Also, just an inference here..but this:

I think you’re misconstruing parts of this but definitely a tough issue for the Dems.

You do realize the answer to your thread topic and the answer to your poll question are the opposite of one another, right? If someone wasn't paying attention and just read "Do you still wear a mask?" they would choose No on the poll.

Don't try to act like it's the other people making dumb mistakes.

Voted 'yes,' although I still wear one at work. Fully vaxed since January, but mask and goggles still required at work (hospital) since staff is not 50% vaccinated. We've been told we can lose the goggles when we hit 50%. I don't wear one anywhere else, but do keep them in my car in case of need.

Have been in DC, NY, Cleveland, Omaha, Chicago in past few weeks. From Louisville. DC about two weeks ago is first restaurant I can remember since beginning of covid where the waiter didn’t wear a mask. Didn’t care but it was almost weird seeing their face and didn’t expect it in DC. DC requires masks at indoor federal landmarks, federal museums and mass transit. Other than service workers wearing masks and outside of mass transit, huge majority of people aren’t wearing masks...even in Manhattan. Subway is a different story though. Most people wearing masks there are getting off subway or bus or Uber.

Not a person who thinks masks are a big deal and I’m totally over wearing them in Louisville, but also if you’re on a full train or plane, I think it’s a good thing to wear them in those situations honestly.

Never wore a mask. The signs always said face cover so I would wear a face shield. I rather enjoyed the dirty looks.

At work, yes (surgical nurse). Anywhere else, not since I got the vaccine and places stopped requiring it.

Thoughts: I love not having to wear a mask in the grocery etc , probably more so since I have to wear one all day at work; but I think beyond Covid19 we’d probably be better off wearing one in public regularly; at least in crowded indoor settings, during flu season, etc.

Not gonna lie, I have quite enjoyed no one in my immediate family getting even as little as a common cold since 2019. Normally ever year at least one of us gets a really bad cold or a mild cold with side effects that linger around for weeks. Post nasal drip can be a real *****.

Your title says “Do you still wear a mask?” And then you say Well do you? And then the fine print of the poll is “have you stopped wearing a mask?” I mean good lord with the fake news trickery there buddy
Yeah, Phuch that. Trick question. I HAVE stopped wearing a mask and your question didn't match the title to your thread. I think your poll is skewed because of that.

Has to be them because it ain't us, amirite?

Gatherings from the White House to Trump rally's to protests were indeed super spreader events. Two of those never dared wearing masks of any kind for fear of ridicule from the fuhrer.

Then get vaccinated

Edit: Got carried away - my apologies. That said, disagreeing with you regarding this issue does not make us selfish or self-centered and it's not your place to tell us what to do.

(Btw- I got the vax; I treated like the flu shot. If it was readily available and didn't take too much time, I would take it (which I did). No, I do not wear a mask anymore.

It sure made me realize how dumb the average human being is in America. Any fat a$$ or diabetic adult who doesn’t get the vaccine is DAF. Of course, there are exceptions but some people are just mouth breathers. And many more than I realized.

I wear a mask still. Its a nice way to keep those annoying family members and former classmates for stopping me to waste my time with a meaningless conversation.

That’s a matter of opinion.

Well, I suppose if that's your opinion, that not agreeing with your stance is self-centered or selfish, then I am guilty as charged. I choose to live in freedom and not in irrational fear, but you keep doing you; just mind your own business, deal?

It everyone’s business when unvaccinated people are spreading a deadly virus because they refuse to do the single easiest thing to prevent the spread of the virus.
