Anyone here take Turmeric for inflammation and joint pain? Read a lot of good stuff on it.

I've added Optimum Nutrion Men's Multi. Still take Krill Oil, but have stopped a dedicated Vitamin D and Probiotic. I get those through a pretty good diet. Although I will probably start Viutamin D back again in the winter.

Once a day I take a mulit-vitamin, Lipitor for cholesterol, and Vitamin D. If I don't take Vit. D supplement, my levels will tank, which I never knew I had a deficiency till I had bloodwork done. High cholesterol is in my dna, nothing I can do will lower it to the point I don't need medication. Maybe if I became vegan, which isn't going to happen.

try glucosamine chondroitin for joint pain. I'm not an old yet, but I do competitively powerlift, and GC makes an incredible difference for me in how my joints feel day to day. fish oil also helps.

Might need to add that as well, as I lift (but not near a competitive level). I need something to battle inflammation on a general level. I've had Costochondritis for a while now and also have a lot of key markings for Rheumatoid Arthritis in my future.

I've switched off Fish Oil and onto Krill Oil.

yeah run it by your doc if you have RA issues, because i have no idea how that would interact, but GC has helped me out a lot. as I understand it krill oil is good stuff, I've just never tried it.

My limited research findings was that Krill Oil was the NEXT Fish Oil. Same thing, just better. I'm gonna ask my GP.

My supplements are

1) Baking soda dissolved in apple cider vinegar
2) Few drops of hydrogen peroxide dissolved in water
3) Pine cones extract dissolved in vodka

consult with your doctor before taking any supplements

I've been skeptical about fish oil since the early 90s when I participated in some of the research. ~1991, I was a student at UK and needed money. I enrolled to be a test subject in a fish oil study. I would check in once a week, they would draw blood and have me fill out a food journal. They gave me fish oil capsules to take, increasing the amount each week. At some point, I quit taking them and they started piling up. I must have thrown away several thousand fish oil capsules. Got my $15/wk though.

Since I'm a third shift worker, I take vitamin D, because I dont get as much sunlight as others. I also take elderberry capsules.

To lazy to do research but seems I heard that the whole elderberry craze was BS. Btw I’m a big proponent of natural anything that you put in your body.

It seems different things work for different people. Zinc works for me and colds (only if I take it right away) but echinacea works for my sister.

Creatine, protein shakes, and preworkout. Sometimes melatonin to get to sleep fast after work.
