Do You Want to See Wisconsin as a #1 Seed?

Are you rooting for them to get bumped up to the #1 line (Duke or Villanova losing) to make our path to the Final Four a little less competitive?

Or would you like to see them lose either tonight or in the Big Ten tournament?

Or are you thinking it doesn't matter where they end up playing in the Tourney?

I think they are one of the top four teams and deserve a #1 seed and it wouldn't be fair for them to have to play us in the Elite 8.

It doesn't matter...there are a lot of good teams. Wisconsin could easily lose in early rounds of the tournament.

Prefer for them to get a 1, and give us the easier path. Although I'm not convinced they would go to our region as a 2.

I don't really care at this point. If we play our best, we will beat all comers. Simple as that.

Wisconsin as a #1 seed could force Duke as a #2 in our region. Would much rather have Wisconsin, as Duke could spread the floor.

Would just like seeding to be done as it should be, not like the mess we've seen the last few years. If Wisconsin deserves a 1 seed, give them a 1. All teams should reap what they sow.

No it wouldn't.

UK would get KU or Gonzaga.

If we take care of business nobody beats us so it does not matter to me who is in our bracket.

I'd prefer to avoid Wisconsin, Duke, and Virginia til the Final Four. Hoping for Gonzaga as the 2 in our bracket.

I personally hope Virginia falls to pieces and loses two more, including at Louisville. I'd prefer them as Kentucky's 2 seed. I wouldn't mind Duke as a 2 seed, but I doubt the selection committee screws Coach K like that in a historical year for the Duke program.

My order of preferred potential 2 seeds...

1. Kansas
2. Gonzaga
3. Virginia
4. Villanova
5. Arizona
6. Duke
7. Wisconsin

But in a tournament that doesn't include a best of 5 or 7 series? Anyone can be beaten in the tournament. It's a good thing to not have to face high quality opponents until later in the tournament.

Much rather avoid them until the final four. Someone said they want to avoid duke because they spread the floor. That's exactly what Wisconsin does best. All but one player can hit the 3. They don't turn it over and are the best defensive rebounding team in the country I think. Very unique style. The revenge factor. Lots of experience.

I think we beat them but I would rather not play them till the final four. They will be our 2 though. If our team plays like it has shown it can through the tournament, we won't be beaten.

Here's the issue. Forget about Kentucky's perspective for a minute. ....Wisconsin is CLEARLY one of the 4 best teams in the country, and they have a player of the year candidate, lots of seniors and a final 4 team last year. Why on earth would you screw them by putting them in a bracket with the #1 overall seed and undefeated Kentucky? Doesn't make sense at all. AND, why would a 6 loss/possibly 7 loss Kansas team get a 2 seed? I know RPI, but that's still 6-7 losses man. And Villanova is clearly a 2, not a 1. I also think its more important to match the #1 overall 1 seed with the weakest 2. But, the committee will screw it up and pack the East as usual, and make a birthday cake in the west.

But yes, I think and want Wisconsin as a 1, along with Kentucky, Duke and Arizona
And I think Kentucky should get Gonzaga as a 2

To get what you want would take a miracle. Arizona is the next team to move to a 1 seed without a loss. Wisconsin would be 2nd in line. Although looking at all rankings I would say it is very close.
However in order for you to get what you are asking for ... All of these things probably have to happen.
1. Wisconsin and Arizona both have to win out and win there conference tourney
2. Villanova has to lose last regular season game or in conference tourney
* If Villanova lost early in conference tourney and Wisconsin and Arizona only made conference finals would work as well
3. Virginia would have to lose Saturday at Louisville and lose before the finals in the conference tourney. I do believe committee will take into account Anderson not playing, thus requiring two loses

I can more than likely see this being the 1 seeds, because I do see Wisconsin winning Big Ten ... Villanova losing and someone other than Duke winning ACC

So here are my 4 guesses - UK, Virginia, Arizona, Wisconsin with the 2's being Duke, Kansas, Gonzaga, and Villanova

I don't "want" to see them by any seed over the other but I find it patently hilarious that they are apparently either barely a #2 seed, punished by being paired against Kentucky, or a 1 seed. The situation is a joke.

All year long Wisconsin was the team to most likely beat us if anybody could. So today on ESPN they had them as a #2 seed in our bracket. If we are the overall #1 seed why would the all mighty Wisconsin be put in the overall #1 seeds bracket?

If Wisconsin moves up and Duke drops down:

Midwest- UK/Duke
East- UVA/Nova
South- UW/KU
West- Zona/Zaga

I think this makes sense. A lot of people think Nova gets the 1 seed out West, but I think they keep Zona and Zaga out there as the 1 and 2. Zona is as worthy as Nova. Nova would be better off as the 2 in the East anyway and stay close to home. That is what they want to do, keep the top seeds close to home. The rest fall in line. Duke is the next 2 seed and will be sent to Cleveland (closest available Regional). Then Zaga gets to stay out West. KU gets to go to Houston.

So UK gets Duke or Wisconsin, IMHO.

This means that Zaga's loss to BYU was irrelevant. What's the difference between Zona/Zaga and Zaga/Zona?

Don't care, though it's fun to speculate. This UK team should be able to beat any of them especially at sites close to Lexington. As some have said pairing them with UK because of geography is really more unfair to them than UK especially since that geography ultimately works in our favor. Cleveland may be B10 territory, but UK fans will overrun the place to the extent possible. The fans that travel, and spend their time and money to do so are not the typical Rupp crowd. Their presence will be known!

If they win out and Duke does not I think they should get a 1. If Virginia loses 1 I still think they should get a 1. If Villanova loses 1 and Whisky wins out I think Whisky should be a 1.

It's the dilemma of having a West bracket. Not enough teams west of the Rockies, too many teams East of the Msississippi, so it's either send Nova across country just to give them a 1 seed or keep them close to home as a 2 and allow Zaga to stay out West. Is it about punishing and rewarding teams or setting up,a good tourney? I guess it depends on who you ask and what teams we are talking about.

I'm not sure what the committee will do, no one knows. It's all speculation at this point.

If somehow Virginia loses to UL Saturday and then lose to Duke I could see VA being dropped to a 2.

I'm hoping for

Midwest
UK
Zags

South
Duke
Virginia

East
Wisconsin
Villanova

West
Arizona
Kansas

Yes, they've earned it. I agree that i'd rather face Gonzaga for the Final 4 ticket. I want to see WCS channel his inner AD and block 3 or 4 of Wiltjer's shots.

This is a one and done tournament. Excluding the 15 and 16 seeds anybody can beat anybody. I want UK to have the easiest path to the championship and considering their the number one overall seed they deserve it. Some of you have grown arrogant actually believing UK cannot be beaten.

I'm not a Wisconsin fan so I don't care where they get seeded. We are the best team. Obviously anything can happen in one game but we shouldn't be afraid of who we might play.

I doubt they put Duke and UVA together in the same region. And Duke goes to Syracuse in that situation, not Houston. Also, KU goes to Cleveland and Zaga stays out West.

Midwest- UK/KU
East- Duke/Nova
South- UW/UVA
West- Zona/Zaga

I would be so good with that situation.
