Yes. What kind of douche takes off for their birthday? Need to be home to freshen up for all the festivities centered around you? Everyone has a birthday--get the eff to work, mother f----r

Edit: if you need to burn vacation days and can't cash em in--and it happens to fall on your birthday? Yeah, I get it. If you choose a day off BECAUSE it's your birthday? GFY,MF

Oh and if you schedule WAY ahead of time to take off for your birthday--and the surrounding days as well? You've hit a level of douchebaggery I don't think has been invented yet. You should dive into the nearest wood chipper immediately-- if not sooner.

Do people take off on their birthdays? Who the hell is supposed to eat the cake at lunch in the workroom cafeteria then?

I used to take off because, screw it, it's my birthday and I'll do whatever I damned well please.

Now, however, I work...and then blow every single penny I make -- and then some, usually -- on whatever I damned well please.

Of course. The day after my birthday, I always submit a leave request for the following birthday to ensure it's approved. If my birthday falls on a weekend, I take the following Monday. There is just so much to do on my birthday that it takes 364 days of planning :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

My birthday is the best birthday and I am THE BEST as a result. I love that everyone seems overly enthused to attend my birthday activities. I had a clown this year. A CLOWN! It was a great one (not every one of the isn't, I mean, I was born afterall)!

I sometimes take it off. Depends if I feel like I'll be annoyed by people telling me Happy Birthday. I can take off whenever I want, since I don't get any vacation time. As long as I get my work done, no one really seems to care.

The only reason I try to take off for my birthday is to avoid the nattering old women I work with. "Oh tomorrow is your birthday? We should have a food day!! I'll make some brownies and Ethel can bring in her state fair award winning cheese dip. Wouldn't that be so nice of us?! Oh, and can you bring in some napkins and paper plates too? Thanks!" Or "Hey It'saDoneDeal, are you doing anything special for your birthday?" "I don't know, I'll probably look at some weird **** on Pornhub and play with my penis for however long it takes me to forget this conversation, so in other words, just another day in paradise!!" So yeah, this way I can avoid all that.

Yes, because I'm not really sure why i wouldn't unless I was on vacation, sick, or a weekend.

Since my birthday is in mid-March, the only time I will ask off is if the NCAA Tournament has started.

I usually work on my birthday. I certainly don't request off months in advance.

My company offers a paid birthday off to be taken within 60 days. So, if my birthday is a Monday or Friday I take this day and make my weekend a 3-day. If not, I use it one Friday within the 60 days. I have a fall birthday so I usually take it for a UK football weekend. I figure if they're gonna pay me to not work on my birthday, might as well use the "perk" when it's convenient for me.

I haven't taken the day off to have an MEGABLUE05's FABULOUS SUPER BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA since I was 21.
