I'm sure there are some of you Leftist Leviathan Lovers out there who think the bottom will now fall out of the American Education system, but I'd challenge any of you to show me where US public education accumulatively is demonstrably better off now (today) than it was when the DOE was set up almost 50 years ago? (Cite the statistics showing improvement please)
I'd argue it's worse now than it's ever been, and we've spent over 3 trillion dollars on this boondoggle! What do we have to show for it?
Failing schools, underperforming schools, and needless bureaucrats or teacher's Unions constantly whining for even more $$$$$$$$ to keep screwing up our kids! 
Shut it all down...ASAP.
