Does anyone remember the last UK QB that most of our resident "experts"

were so anxious to run off? Don't feel bad if you don't, there have been a lot of them, in fact probably almost all of them before they realized their potential./

Watched most of the San Diego State game tonight, and the announcer mentioned that Matt Smith had thrown 144 passes without an interception, and they are 6-0 in the Mountain West Conference, and will be in their playoff if they win one of their two remaining conference games.

Of course the Mountain West (or any other conference, probably) isn't nearly as tough as the SEC, why I will bet that Towles and Barker could both star on a team in that league, and in fact if they had decent support could even be pretty good here..

Not sure who Matt smith is or what your post is even implying. However I assume it has to do with most on this board preferring barker over Towles at this point. Entire SEC crew and both commentators said barker should have been the QB the 2nd half last night. Stoops and staff instead tied their anchor to Towles as usual and sunk to the bottom. This program after last night is back at 2-10 depth level despite winning 4 games this year. There is absolutely nothing positive around the program at all right now, nothing to feel good about or even have the hope that the next year or two help is on the way.

Wow Just Wow.....anyone that can pump sunshine into this cave has to be on the payroll. No way a person could watch that debacle and come away with a positive spin on that.

As for Towles, I was all for giving him every opportunity he deserved after winning the starting position. Didn't like the threads wanting him removed after first game or even splitting time. He has had his opportunity and he has not performed up to the level that is required to win in this league. It is time for Barker to get his opportunity and he should be rewarded with the same courtesy from the staff.

I also agree with this. I think it would be nice to see Barker get a full game at QB. At this juncture in the season, it can't hurt anything.
