Does Anyone Think that Rogers...

They finally got some penalties and we got some TFLs to put them in tougher positions. Once that happened it definitely felt like he didn’t want to do anything that would put Raynor in a spot to turn it over. So I don’t know that he went super conservative until the situation kind of dictated it.

two other quick things:

1). Shout out to Watson for some really good 1:1 coverage and passes defended when isu did take a couple shots downfield on single coverage!

2) I thought rogers sounded like a cry baby prick in the post game presser. He kind of sounded pissed and entitled that things didn’t bounce his way. Plus clearly he’s a douche for how his players acted (ie the punt return vs James that should have had multiple personal fouls calls)

Didn't catch Rogers' post game presser. Did he drop any F-bombs to placate the Clown fan base?

I should clarify, it wasn’t necessarily anything he said in the post game that rubbed me the wrong way. Was more tone, facial expression, and body language honestly. And after tough loss I can easily overlook that. But combined with his f-bomb Busch league comment and ingame players actions, you tend to lose any benefit of the doubt at that point.

so again, nothing said was egregious, but the guy has an unlikable demeanor about him for sure imo.

Cry baby prick describes Rogers to a T.

Their overall offense either isn't very good or Iowa’s D is top 10. A quick look at the box score and Iowa State only had 117 yards of passing offense. That's Jackson Stratton level. When Iowa’s D can make an offense one dimensional, usually means trouble for them and good things for us. Going into the game, we heard that they had better QB play but turns out, they didn't.

I thought Rogers had that team well prepared and from a pure football standpoint he looks like he has potential. But first impressions really matter and he made a bad one this week in the limelight of this game. The officials facilitated some of that trashy play but I don't like seeing that and it appears to very much reflect the head coach. Hopefully he grows as a coach or he may have an interesting ride in Ames.

Why would you want him to grow as a coach? I hope he loses every game. He is an ******* and a stupid one at that. Could you imagine Kirk addressing a crowd of fans that included little kids and say F*** ISU? Not in a million years. In fact, I can't think of another coach that has ever done such a thing. Maybe Bob Knight??
Perfect fit in Ames, I guess.
Also, the Cyclone fans that were sitting in my area at the game were among the most idiotic fans that I have ever had the misfortune to have to sit and listen too. They were either very drunk, retarded or maybe both.

He can get away with that dirty play now while Pollard is still AD.

Let's see how things go when his new boss takes over in a year.

...Tried to out-Kirk, Kirk? I thought the Clones went into vintage turtle mode after getting a 13-10 lead. Kirk is the all time GOAT doing this and once again proved that. Thoughts?
Hopefully, he continues to try to do so. I like our odds of winning 3 of every 4 or maybe even 4 of every 5, if that's what they try to do.

If Kirk said “**** ISU” at halftime of a basketball game the place would erupt.

He tried to ride his defense to a win against a more experienced team. They have some warts (so do we) offensively, and he knew that. Like good coaches do, he put his team in position to win at the end. It may/may not be his preferred style of play, but it's what his team needed that night. Just wasn't quite good enough.

I think the ISU coach after getting a FG on their first second half possession maybe thought they could hold enough to get one more TD which he thought would be enough. It also most was enough but in the end, the last 10 minutes, ISU looked tired, they lost a couple of defenders, the hawks had solved their offense and the better team won.

Rogers fits in perfect with Ames and dbag antics pollard loves. No wonder he hired him. All I heard from their fans is how he played ole miss and James Madison close last year at wazzu and now fanbase they are slurping him for doing same Saturday. We know how great coaches like Hayden thought of these type of moral victory games.

Must be nice to have a coach that embraces the rivalry like the fans do

.I know you hate Ferentz, but there will be a time in the not too distant future that guys like you will be longing for the good old days of winning 9-10 games every year. Only a dozen or so teams in the country win as consistently as Ferentz has. Go ahead and stick up for a dickhead of an opposing coach because he comports himself like a typical drunken fan.

F-bombs at pep rally etc. Turned me off. What goes on in practice is one thing with language. Really don’t need f- - - - at either place.

It wasn't out ferentzing ferentz. It was a combo of bad field position and timely penalties in the second half.
