Does Baylor's beat down of UNC affect your opinion of Orange Bowl?

I love seeing Carolina lose in anything. That said they won the weakest or second weakest division in P5 football (battling the SEC east believe it or not for that bottom spot). That would be like saying Florida is the second best SEC team. ID say UNC is more on par with Louisville or NC State behind FSU and Clemson. They benefitted from playing 7 games vs one of the wort divisions out there. Throw them on the other side and they have 3-4 losses or maybe more.

I still think we see a Bama vs Clemson title game. I have a weird feeling this is the year Clemson breaks through and sheds the "pulling a Clemson or Clemsoning" as they call it. I only feel this way because no one is giving them a chance. Teams tend to play their best when they are pegged by the media and John Q Public like Clemson has been.

Looking forward to the games either way. Turned down a free ticket to watch aTm and the Birds tonight from my stepson. Told him Id rather watch from my warm comfortable recliner!

Saying North Carolina is the second best team in the ACC is like saying Florida is the second best team in the SEC. Just because you win your division doesn't make you the second best team.

They lost one game in the ACC. At worst they are the third best team in the ACC.

Thats fair. I havent really even paid attention to them. I just know they play in the weaker division of the 4th or worse rated league. I did watch them absolutely give away a game to USCjr to start the year. Thats the only real impression of them I have all year. I dont think I saw them play again. After looking closer (just now) and grazing their schedule Id say they "could" lose to Louisville depending on the day but outside of that there isnt a team in the other division that I think could beat them even on the right day. They look better than I thought once I really took a look. I just have a hard time getting that USC game outta my head.

they lost to scar on a neutral field. if everyone and their brother is gonna make fun of the sec east last year because missou got beat by IU then we sure as hell can make fun of unc... and that whole division, for losing to scar.

I do believe Oklahoma will win but it will be a high scoring game with Oklahoma winning by 7-10 points. Both teams have amazing offenses. Oklahoma has the better defense. And I think Alabama got the best matchup to start. Alabamas defense is terrorizing and goes after the quarterback. Probably the best defense they have had under Saban. And their offense is becoming better and better each game. Coker is becoming a good qb who can take off for a run. Plus they have Ridley and the do it all back in Kenyon drake. Not to mention big number 2, who is a monster.

Based on recent bowl history, I am going to concede that Clemson >>> Oklahoma and Alabama >>>>>>> Michigan State.

Lucky I back up my ill advised wager on the Sooners with an equal wager on under 45 in the Cotton Bowl. The way my luck has been running, losing only the vig is an epic win, certainly a positive in my world view. [cheers]
