Does Duke Beat Carolina 2-0 This Year?

I don't want be a pessimist, but it has to be said, The Carolina that is playing right now, is not the Carolina that we will face. they'll have Cole Christ back, and ol' Huck always has those boys playing their best ball for us. I think we SHOULD go 2-0 against them, but it's a rivalry game, and should go out the window for those.
Tbh I’m not sure if we have a chance in either game. You have to realize we’ll be going against hof coach Roy Williams and the Carolina family, that alone puts us in a massive disadvantage. Maybe we can steal one game
Agree with this. We thought we were gonna mop the floor with them the last 2 seasons, and we know how that worked out.
Any rational Duke fan is always concerned about the 2 games with the Holes.

Roy runs a very complex system. If Anthony is back our depth will wear him down and they don't have shooters. Its going to be two beat downs regardless of rivalry.

I’m usually the guy saying not to underestimate UNC because anything could happen in this rivalry. Nope, its gonna be a bloodbath this year.
We don’t play them for another month....a lot can happen between now and then. I’ll just say I wouldn’t trade our team for theirs....

I just want to remind everyone UNC sucks I went to look at the highlights of yesterdays GT/UNC game and had to dig DEEP in ESPN because neither team is a top 25 team lol

The Cheats were a much better team than Duke, but it was still close. They’ll be outliers (82-50), but more often than not the game is going to be close bc of the rivalry.

I think we sweep them this year! They are a complete mess right now, and even if Cole comes back in time for those games, Tre will keep him under control enough for Duke to win.
cole anthony will be back for both games and he will make a difference. bacot is much better when anthony is playing. They are down right now and a couple of wins this week which is likely will give them some confidence. The first half of the ACC play is fairly easy and despite the GT loss they should have an in conference winning record by the time they play us in cheater heel. They will be ready for us that game and one of the role player guys for them will have a good game. We should win both games even with anthony but we have to be ready. We may need tof play our best game of the year there. Tre and Jordan need to put the pressure on anthony and the rest of our players hold the rest of their players in check. It's a rivalry game at their place. As far as the second game goes in Cameron it will be a slaughter. OFC
On paper we should win both regular season games this season because they aren’t good at all right now but I think it’s too early to be worrying about playing UNC because we’ve still got a month and 2 days before we play them and we’ve still got 8 games before we play them. Also the first game against them will be our third straight road game within a week.

UNC will make the tournament. Swofford and company won't let them miss the tournament. Remember a few years ago, UNC managed to become a 2 seed with 10 losses. I believe this was the first time in history of the NCAA tournament a team with 10 losses received a 2 seed. However, they got smoked in the second round.
You can't count them out in a rivalry game, however, Duke should sweep them this season. UNC is terrible.
That, and they also are tied for the most losses ever for a team that got a 1 seed (7 losses). But in their mind, Duke gets preferential treatment.
When we first play Carolina, we have an 8-day stretch where we play @Syracuse, @BC, and @Carolina, then follow that up 2 days later with FSU. That’s brutal. The travel and fact that it’s mid-term exam time alone is going to suck for these guys.
If we come out of that stretch with 2 wins let alone 3-4 I’ll be very impressed.

I watched the Cheats play the Yale the other day and it was terrible in terms of favoritism with the refs. Granted the game was close and could've gone either way, however, UNC benefited from every call. I've never seen a team get the special treatment from the refs like UNC does.
While it would be great, still very early in the season to count those chickens. I'll be happy if it happens but no way am I going to jinx it by making a bet on it!
We beat a very talented uncheat team with basically 5 players playing the entire game a few years ago. We should win both, but come gameday for both, I'll be nervous.
