No, because he is not our coach any longer!

The only thing we know for a fact is that the players he recruited did. While many of the NFL hopefuls did what has become routine, the depth pieces demonstrated the solid recruiting PSU enjoyed during his era.
Players recruited in the Franklin era won 41 games in 4 years. I know, "We Deserve Better." I'm waiting with great anticipation, because Pat Kraft promised "excellence at the highest level." If a bum like Franklin can win like this.....imagine what next season brings!

We don’t even make it to this game if he was still the coach. 3-9 or 4-8 at best. He was checked out, the team was done. Incredible job by Terry to keep it together, especially after the gut wrenching losses to Iowa and Indiana

Then why the **** didn’t we hire Terry? Like Marshall said, those were Franklin’s second and third stringers controlling both lines of scrimmage and out-playing Clemson at almost every position on the field. Terry did an utterly outstanding, fantastic, utopian job of cleaning up the freakin mess Kraft created.

Campbell couldn’t even figure out a way to get to the game.

Meanwhile his first stringers got outplayed by UCLA and NW at every position on the field

Let's not ignore the fact that Clemson played without a number of first line players who decided they were finished with "college" football.

I am ecstatic with PSU's victory. A true display of fortitude, teamwork and what playing for the blue and white means. That is Terry Smith's contribution to the program.

DDS epitomized that feeling. He played with heart and demonstrated leadership throughout.

Penn State had 17 players not playing. What’s your point?

Of course he would win - Clemson was not a top 10 team otherwise no way - Franklin was not a bum and no one called him that - he was a good coach and a good recruiter - not great at either and few are but we deserve better. At least in the ACC there are few big games for him to lose - I see a NC coming to VT shortly as he promised :)

Yes CJF was the HC when these kids were recruited....however there seems to have been a divide within the lockerroom. Grunk I feel played great....but so were the freshman RBs and WRs....that never played till TS took control. I agree next season will be terrific as MC was a great hire!
CJF had his good moments but far to many bad....and he was told by this board but he felt he knew better. CJF is
who he is....a stereotype Aquarius....friendly, intelligent, idealistic, but often aloof, emotionally detached, impulsive, unpredictable.

We didn't hire Terry because he's not qualified for the role and didn't beat a single team with a pulse.

Yes he wins this game…there, you got your answer. What’s the next question, would Beau Pribula win this game?

Yeah if only Franklin would have listened to you and the other “We Deserve Better” posters on here, he would never have lost a game. Geez.

He looked pretty freakin qualified to me. Campbell couldn’t even read a weather report.
He's not qualified--you like him (the guy)
Campbell didn't need to be at the scrimmage. Smith was never considered for this role--it's okay to accept that.

Holy F dude, WTH is your problem with Campbell. It is no big deal he wasn’t there. It isn’t like he was going to be up in Smith’s biz. It was Smith’s team until after the game.

You act like he was coaching the game. You are as big an idiot as Lando.

That’s actually pretty funny since you’re trashing the guy in the post right above yours that agrees with you. 😂😂😂😂

I already have him on ignore and just because he and I may agree on a point here and there, he is still an idiot poster 99.9% of the time.

You are beginning to challenge him for lead idiot poster.

With all due respect, “ignore” is for pussies.. That’s how echo chambers and false narratives get formed. It allows people to believe what they want to believe. Maybe Lando’s agreeing with you now more than you think and you’re still trashing him due to pre-conceived notions.
