He put the ball in his backup quarterback's hands on 3rd and 5. If Brown makes that throw to Moulton there's a good chance they get the first down and Indiana never gets the ball back...
This.

So, why do our QBs throw the ball into the ground so often?

Blitzing kept Iowa in the game. X's safety blitz led to the INT that should have sealed the game for Iowa. The entire blame for this loss, as usual, falls on the failure of the offense to score more than 13 freakin' points, even after the D gives them a short field with the time winding down and 70,000 fans going nuts.
This. Offense took the gift horse straight to the glue factory.

Understood, I actually played the game. Pressure up the middle kills that every time. They knew it was coming. I knew it was coming. The commentator knew it was coming. That is the point.
If they knew what was coming why did we have 2 blockers out there and nobody else around on defense?

It didn’t work because we don’t have a QB. The play was wide open.
Oh, so it didn't work. It was open, but they pressured the QB straight up the gut because they knew either a run up the gut or a screen pass was coming. Watch Patrick freaking Mahomes deal with pressure in his face.

You can continue to argue, I am done with this one. It didn't work because they knew that **** was coming. So did I, so did the guy calling the game. Go back and listen to the broadcast.

You claim to have played football but don’t understand that you draw the defense in on a screen pass? So there was a little pressure up the middle. Thats expected. Show some poise and make a 2 yard pass to a wide open back. We’re not asking him to make a 20 yard pass with a defender in his face.

I did. Screens work best when you run your man past the QB, not directly into the QB.

You see, accuracy is affected when a QB is hit while attempting to throw the ball. Watch any level of football to see an example of this wild concept I am throwing (pun intended) at you.
