Does it surprise anyone that most of the least educated states in US are the Red states. Why?

It’s not that people in the least educated states are dumber, it’s that the people in the most educated states are more in the know. The states with the better education scores tend to have bigger cities and this tend to be more international in scale economically and socially. Bigger cities also require more social programs and have more issues, both of which coerce city dwellers to get more involved in local politics.

Social programs and international issues are not main conservative issues, which are normally propped up by republicans, so people in bigger cities vote for the democrats, who tend to be more progressive.

People in rural areas don’t have to worry about many of the issues that larger population concentrations do and so they don’t support their tax dollars being used on a federal level for those things. I don’t blame red or blue for voting red or blue. I’ve lived in red states and blue states and rural areas and cities and I get why people vote along those lines in general. As long as they know what they are voting for and aren’t just congregating to the shiniest object like animals, it’s actually a good system

Unfortunately, people vote against their own interest because they get confused by misinformation.

While the red states with there dumb people get **** done with low unemployment and practically no murders. Them smart people don't have no common sense. My sister was valedictorian of her class super book smart. She dont have enough common sense to come out of the rain. I dont know why you posed this question but you must be book smart also!

Not sure who or what you are asking, but in case it is me, it is common knowledge that the red states are the least educated, and as a whole, the red states are poorer and take more money from the federal government. When you consider how much the blue states pay into the federal government compared to what the red states pay into the federal government, it is even more skewed. For instance, Minnesota, New Jersey, Delaware and Illinois pay $5 into fed. gov for every $1 they get from it.

"Except for the most dependent state – New Mexico – nine of the 10 states most dependent on federal money are red-leaning states. Overall, red states receive $1.23 of federal taxes paid, while blue states receive 95 cents." https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...ds-on-federal-government-money-more-than-most

The take home is that red states mooch off blue states, no two ways about it when you look at the facts.

Also, the murder rate (which is a per capita statistic) is not higher in blue states.

Thanks for this. Also, poverty is higher in red states than in blue states, leading the red states to mooch off of the blue states in the way of federal funding (and the red states ironically ***** about government spending).
You are way off on this statement. Blue states have way higher unemployment. Where did you get red states mooch off blue states?? When most red states do so much better than these run down blue states. You have obviously never been to Chicago, Detroit, LA, Seattle, biggest **** holes in America I don't care what you say.

Just because the blue states/cities have higher population of people going to college doesn't make them smarter, population just skews the metric. There is just as much stupidity and idiocracy per capita in all states red or blue, including educated people.

Have you ever been there? I just got back from Seattle; my uncle and cousins live there. It is ******* beautiful. My wife's family lives in Chicago, and we go a couple of times per year—also a cool place. The museums and parks are top notch. I went to a wedding in Detroit about five years ago (when it was at its low point), and it was just as nice as Oklahoma City.

Furthermore, you are talking about cities, we were talking about states overall, and how red states mooch of blue states, not cities.

Go ahead and tell me though ive been to each one and worked there for at least a month. You take is from a couple day visit stay there a month. They are nothing like okc your delusional.

Well tell me how the economy in CA is better than the economy in Texas. Why is everyone in CA moving to Texas?? Why is everyone leaving NY to go to Florida?? The proof is in the pudding my friend.

Did you look at the data about how much states put into the fed and how much states get back? I posted the links. You can also do your own research, but you are wrong according to the facts. Arguing about which cities we like best is subjective, and we can disagree because it is not based on objective facts. The statement about red states taking more money than they put into the fed gov and blue states taking less money than they put into the fed government is objective truth. It cannot be argued.

California has the biggest US economy and the 4th biggest in the world. People are leaving CA b/c they can cash out and live cheaply in TX, and most of them that do leave disagree with the politics in CA, and like the politics in TX. Similar reason with older, white, retired people moving from NY to Florida. Plus the winters are a lot better in FL (subjective opinion).

Wow you are completely right you know why that is right. The population in red states is smaller than in blue states. Duh. I'm done this was a stupid statement to begin with and also who really cares at this point our government is in shambles. It needs to be completely dismantled and start over with just our constitution and no amendments to it.

Again, did you read the articles or look it up? The data is based on what they put in compared to what they take out. Population size is irrelevant in this instance.

You don’t have to believe it. However, people actually do research and dont look at every situation through the lens of politics. Everyone should have an open mind and try to fight the urge to believe that every other information out there is false or cynical, except the ones that validate one's belied system.

What’s funny is that red states deal with the same issues in high population density areas. It’s a city thing, not a red/blue thing…

That's is not true. There are more murders
in red states than blue states.

These are bonafide articles/reports regarding crime rates, especially murders, in our states. Read and draw your own conclusions.

Primus loves the divisive culture that poisons our country. He plays into it.
The "United" States is becoming more to being the "Divided" States of America thanks to our politicians, media and people like Primus.
I don't like any politician from either side. We have to aim higher than Trump, Biden, Queen Hillary, Sanders, Bush, and Obama, but we seem to distance ourselves from selecting the best and brightest people to run for office every four years.
Biden running again cannot be taken seriously, especially with Harris as VP, who would likely assume the presidency before Biden would finish his second term. This projection will put Trump back in office.
Both parties have to get serious about producing legitimate (and younger) candidates. but that's not happening.
