Doesnt strike me as Coach K's style, plus he is possibly more passionate and all in to the game and our program then perhaps ever before, in other words i think Coach K is still mighty hungry AND plans on eat'n.

He could, but I doubt he's ready. He still looks to be having fun. I think the pressure won't be too bad next season and he wants one more Olympics. Maybe after next year.

I thought about that. I don't think it's time for him. I also don't think he HAS to end with a championship. He will end when the passion is gone.

I love your confidence :) and anything is possible, but keep in mind this season was a VERY special group, they don't come around often.

Next season should be fun to watch, but could be a bit of a "rebuilding" season, at least by Duke standards (which is still pretty damn good!)

We will likely be losing our 4 best players, and our returning players are 3 "role player/glue guys" (Amile, Marshall, Matt) and a budding young talent in Allen.

It's easy to get spoiled as a Duke fan, but I still like to temper expectations season to season.

PS: VERY excited to what Kennard can do!

I don't think he is even close. The game has changed and his evolution has made the game somewhat new to him. I think he is enjoying the challenge. This year he evolved quite a bit. It's amazing to think that a man his age can be so open to change when the vast majority to people resist change as we age. I think I am more impressed with Coach K this year than I have ever been. I think he has at least five more years and that's the short estimate.

Coach 1K should consider retiring, and when he does he can move to Chapel Hill to get away from big time college basketball totally! OFC

In the press conference he had the week between the 2nd Round and Sweet 16 I don't think I've ever seen him more excited and energetic about a team in a press conference. I think he's still got 4-6 more years left and depending on recruiting (particularly that 2016 class) he may still go out on top.

I was thinking about this after we won last night. I can't see him retiring right now but maybe in 2-3 years. Since the talk of the '16 class started with Giles, Thornton, Tatum, Smith Jr, Battle (Hope we can land at least 3 of them) I've thought that will potentially be K's next best shot to win the next title. I could see him retiring not long after the 2016-17 season or the next. It's gonna be so weird not seeing him on the sidelines. I don't want to imagine it just yet. He's still got the fire I believe!

I could see it should Duke win the title in the Tatum/Giles class, but now? No.

Like Laettner said, no because he still has the 2016 Olympic team to coach and when he agreed to coach them against he said that he wouldn't have agreed to coach them if he knew he wasn't still going to be at Duke coaching. At the absolute earliest it'll be 2017 before e retires and I don't think it will be that soon.

Coach K will announce his retirement at least a year before he hangs it up. He's not going to leave the program without letting Duke nation plenty of time to figure out who's next to be Duke's coach. OFC

I think Coach K has the vigor, energy, fight and enthusiasm of a 60 year old man. If he retires at 72 thats another 12 years and at least 2 or 3 National Championships.

K just gets it done.
