Only small towns really use topix for this type of crap. You rarely see it for bigger cities.
I used to look at my hometown one and it just made me hate that place even more.
My favorites are the ones fishing for compliments.
"Who's that pretty girl at Hobert's Pizza?"
"Best looking girls at Hobert's Pizza?"
"Does anyone know if that girl from Hobert's Pizza is single?"
My hometown had announcement some dude was going to be a daddy again. Apparently, he was in jail for drugs and was already non support on 4 or 5 kids with 3 women already. He was 24, obese, and in his mugshot looked to have an IQ of 80. Some of the replies to that were legendary.

I call my mom but you may have hit on the one invention I hate more than social media. I can't stand talking on the phone. At least on Facebook it's easier to ignore people that aren't my mother.

I think Social Media is a big net negative, 1/3 of the people use it fairly reasonably, the other 2/3 lose their minds with it. I love the people who hold up there phones and take video of a speech or a sporting event. We have multiple camera angles and the cameras are 1000 times better than your little phone. Why are you taking video instead of watching? They just want the video so they can post it and say...I was at the UK SEC final!!!! and then their lemming friends reply "Sooo lucky, I wish I was there" or "Better bring me back something"...it is all so soul crushing.

Speaking of ***** graffiti, I once called into a radio station (was also airing live on local television) discussing high school football to declare someone was a *****. She really was but she was pretty upset. Felt bad but seeing the radio hosts face while me and my buddies did that was awesome.
