Does this make sense. Re-testing.

Co-worker tested positive for Covid three weeks ago. Navigated it well. Now she goes back to be retested so she can come back to work and both Med Express and Mercer County health department refuse to test her. They're telling her if no symptoms she can come back to work. All this ranting about asymptomatic carriers and we have to test test test but yet they won't test someone known to have been positive.

That is how it is being done now per CDC guidelines for those that have tested positive and after a certain amount of time with no symptoms is deemed to be non-carriers.

Keep in mind, this virus has taken time for the scientists to understand and over time the various guidelines have changed quite a bit.

That's exactly correct. No second tests. 10 days after first signs of symptoms and 24 hours with no fever and they can go back to work.

A similar process used for my family members who had it. Cleared to go back after a certain number of days since symptoms appeared and certain number after they were gone.

Basically, virus not as worrisome as portrayed, which was already obvious with a 99.98% recovery rate.

Once you stop showing symptoms, you are essentially not spewing the virus. You may still have it and test positive, but you are no longer likely contagious.

Good luck talking reasonable points based on facts with the 5 morons on this thread and the idiots on the other one. You now understand what people like the "libs" go through.

Then why do people who aren't showing symptoms have to wear masks?

Because even without symptoms, you can still be spewing virus. That's how it spread in my office. One individual with zero symptoms was spewing the virus big time. Passed it to 3 other people in very very short time. These people were not in close contact with each other (probably 5 to 6 feet apart), but were not wearing masks. The one who spread it, also developed the Covid pneumonia, chest scans showed signs of the "glass" in the lungs, and will now probably have permanent damage.

Ultimately, wearing the mask is more about preventing you from unknowingly spewing virus than you getting the virus from someone spewing it. And frankly, it's not a big deal to wear one when out in public.

People have made this issue out to be so much more than it needed to be. Am I in favor of government mandates, unconstitutional limitations on rights? No, but I am for common sense and courtesy.

I have no issues with the mask requirements. You have to wear shoes and shirts to go into stores, this is not really any different.

In this thread, liberals think people are upset about wearing masks when the real issue is that the virus and our response to it are not in sync...and we have destroyed our country by using extremely poor judgment in the last year.

And liberals have politicized the virus. It’s not about your safety
