I have a dog what I think is part lab part dal. Mostly white with black spots under white coat. Anyway the last day or so he has started limping and I was thinking he was favoring his foot right foot pad this morning, but this evening he won’t let you touch anything from his hip down on both sides without trying to bite you. He is very careful when stepping and doesn’t want to jump up on anything or seem to step on anything not at the same level He has always had some issues like not liking water period to wash him the vet has to dope him

Can’t get him in until Friday and he is 7. Do I need to get him in earlier than that with another vet than his normal one?
Sounds like he is in a lot of pain. Call your vet tomorrow and tell them he is hurting. If they can’t sqeeze him in, call a different vet. Or, take him to an emergency vet tonight if the issue is your job between now and Friday. I don’t think it sounds like an emergency...just giving you options.
My lab who is only two has shown signs of similar issues. It comes and goes like she pops something out and back in. Not too bad at this point just limps around a little but obviously a concern long term. My vets told me labs have a lot of hip issues and it may get worse as she ages. They can do surgery but its expensive and doesn't have a real high success rate. Not sure if that helps but apparently the problem is not uncommon in labs. I would take him in and see what the vet says.

I've got a pound dog, we think she is part Havanese, I'd say 80%, and when we leave the house she likes to chew the legs on the chairs to the dinning room table. It's mainly while we are gone when she does it but I caught her doing it today. We think she was mistreated before we got her so we are careful not to scare the **** out of her when we try to tell her no. It's wood furniture and she has destroyed 2 chairs so far. We don't want to cage her up when we leave but we may do it until we figure out what kind of fricking psychologist she needs! The chairs are repairable. We think she is about 2 years old, maybe a little younger. We thought it was some kind of separation anxiety but who knows. I don't speak Havanese so it's difficult to tell.
Not without appropriate training, meds, or a combination of both. You should consult your veterinarian, as it will make life better for the dog, you, and your wife.
yeah. Its a common problem and often takes a lot of effort to curb. If you put forth the effort and $, it will be worth it. Your life will be a lot better with that headache resolved.
