He was the NICEST guy you could ever meet. I miss old time country.

First learned of him in WW and the Dixie Dance Kings. He is one of the last of the great ones.

Are few other top songs people look past as his top 3 are obvious. His voice distinguished him from the others of his time.

Just an all around solid performer and singer, but he wasn't wild and out of control so he is overlooked by many for the Cash, Waylon, and Hank types.
