It’s amazing how idiotic some of our fans are any more, all this hate and MR and Dylan is just insane to me… don’t forget just how bad this team was before either of them got here… there has been upward trends with the product on field, no it hasn’t been perfect, but lord it could be way worse…

at some point you have to let a coach and his staff settle in, and not have to look over their shoulder. Matt has shown he’s not afraid to make changes, he definitely needs to get these hires correct though. There is no need to can Dana and crap all over Dylan. Matt’s trying to push in the right direction and I still believe he will get it there

Getting beat badly by three mediocre teams in year three justifies criticism.

I wonder if this was discussed beforehand with Dylan or Dom and what their reaction will be. You'd have to think they would have mixed reactions since Dylan wasn't being protected very well by his Uncle.

Clearly though Rhule feels the heat and changing the DC and the OL assistant coaches had to be done if Rhule wants to keep his job. Rhule needs to hire those two assistants with careful consideration like he hired the ST coach last year.
I don't think the rumblings a couple weeks ago about the Raiola's looking around were just rumblings. The Raiola's are always shopping around for the best opportunity for themselves. It happened last year, and the reason why Dylan's NIL was increased after a rather mediocre freshman season.

We were doomed to mediocrity being hitched to the combo of Donnie's trash offensive lines and Dylan aka the Lincoln Monument accumulating unlimited sacks.

I like and think Dylan is good but his supporting cast up front isn't. Because of that, I do not expect him to be around in 2026 and will be disappointed, but not surprised nor angry with him. I can't blame him.

I don't have faith in the head coach because he's being paid like he's elite while his team, as a whole, is performing like a 'fine' team would. For what they're paying him, I think they could be doing far better. It's not my money so whatever but as a fan I would hope they're getting elite performance for what they're paying him and through 3 years, they have not gotten close to that level. They got an elite QB prospect, wasted 2 years, and rewarded the head coach with an extension. Barring elite assistant hires, we're probably 3 years away at regaining a sense of hope of better days ahead. That is depressing.

Best day of the Rhule era

Uncle Donnie won’t run another room anytime soon, if ever

Long time coming for that unqualified hanger-on

Kudos to Rhule for doing what he should’ve done 3 years ago. Better late than never to actually attempt to run a competitive program

I hope it leads to improved OL play. I'm not holding my breath. It has barely mattered in 20 years who is coaching what position a Nebraska. The results tend to look exactly the same.
it's all the same long continuous game. that's why it's so hard to change

Texas Tech rumors
(1) I am not convinced Dylan is leaving with his Adidas contract but (2) if he wanted to go to a Big XII school and sling the ball around Mahomes-style, I would head to Stillwater. Low expectations playing with Eric Morris who was Mahomes's OC while at Texas Tech and T. Boone Pickens money ready to flow.

I thought Pickens was dead and gone

And he’s probably scared of that local QB we passed on

We’ve been shopping too. Been rumors about DJ Lagway. I know they won’t go into spring with TJ the only QB with a shot at being the starter

How bad would that eat at Dylan? DJ not only jumps him in the final QB rankings in HS but actually is the QB to take us back.

I don’t think he was a particularly bad coach, but I don’t think he was all that great either. There was some improvement here and there, but nothing drastic.

Yeah I’m not so sure about that anymore. IF Dylan leaves, we’re EXTREMELY thin at QB. TJ’s injury might be more serious than we think. IF a new DC struggled as well, a 3-4 win season could force a change regardless of the cost. Assistants see coaches getting axed with huge buyouts. Why would they think we wouldn’t do the same leaving them looking for work and having to move their family again?
The dead canary in the coal mine was Dayton decommitting. At this point, it would be quite unlikely that Dylan would come back. And I think it's a dead certainty that we would bring in a veteran QB in the portal. With or without TJ.

Even IF Dylan stays, we need another QB.

I can see two reasons why Kehres is not with the Huskers. 1. He was not offered the job. His interview was just a formality as Rhule already has his new DC coach selected. 2. Kehres learned from the interview that he wanted no part of Matt Rhule experience because no smart coach would choose Syracuse! over a Big Ten school unless he had a very good reason.
Most likely that he wasn't offered the job. Surely there was a discussion on assistant coaches-- who he would bring and/or who he would have to accept. Addison Williams is staying. The next DC will have to accept that. And I don't think NU would want to lose Dvoracek or Phil Simpson either-- maybe for the right hire.

Nice, some decent competition at minimum. Who knows, good coaching could have him live up to his 5 star rating.

You don’t know that. The only you know is he wasn’t hired. You arm chair warriors are something else…😆😆
