Surely that dude would not post that if Dent was headed to ucla.
A lot of smoke on Kentucky everywhere you look but there has been confirmation it is down to UK and UCLA. My guess is the kid is Cat but it isn’t 100% certain just yet. I’m operating with the assumption he’s ours and waiting on a commitment

I agree. I see several problems with UCLA. I don’t even truly know how involved UCLA is but they were at least considered “in contention”. Does that make sense with the “basketball decision” and wanting to win? No, I certainly don’t think so. I’m of the mind, he’s a Cat…too many people saying it not to be true. That said, Caleb Wilson was once a “lock” too so I won’t celebrate until its official.
If the price is 3 million I don’t see Kentucky doing that. Just being honest. Thats ridiculous for one college player

College Sports Network reports that Duke could be coming into the picture for Dent. Like us, they are expected to lose most of their starters. Surely we can afford to pay out whatever needed to get Dent, Wilkerson and a top big.
We know that, but does Dent know that? Cronin is probably putting the hard sell on him, just like he should.
Heck, any team that can nab Dent and a couple other fitting pieces just might be a contender. Dent is good enough to overcome a lot of faults.

Dent's from the LA area so if they upped the ante another $500K that could be the difference. I don't think they really give a **** about college basketball there, nor do they like Cronin, but it's LA so there's money to be tossed round.
I think that’s almost exactly what they had prepared to pay Smith and interestingly also extended it to Dent. Perhaps a first to commit situation?
Stanford is the only non Ivy league school that i know of that has strict requirements
i know Notre Dame and North Western did at one time, not sure now
most go by what the conference requirements are which are much lower than what the school may have

Apparently Caleb Wilson got a black check from UNC to make it happen. They asked his camp what it would take and they gave them a number they agreed too. Pope still could have outbid them apparently but choose not to so I think that was a smart move seeing who’s available now. I’d love to get a great wing but if that money goes to Dent that’s a win.
Some of the UK reporters will get ridiculed but this stuff is fluid and can change quickly when money is being thrown around. When the deal didn't get done this afternoon I started to worry a little. Maybe Pope moves quickly onto Dedan Thomas. Wouldn't be a bad fallback at all.
It being a 20 ppg pg and a definite day 1 alpha with defensive ability and outstanding passing —- definitely more valuable in my mind than Wilson. Pay the man

No I didn’t know about that. I saw the former ucla player thinking it’s them
UK thinks it’s Kentucky and so do most of the programs that have dropped out. The only program who thinks it’s UCLA is UCLA. Unless we get something saying the non-UK, non-UCLA people are seeing it UCLA, I’m not sad yet
My point was it’s funny how quick this stuff can change
