Rumsfelt get fully healthy and defense settle in over the next few weeks and Murphy will be fine. No reason to abandon ship on a squad who's the defending state champs lol.
Got to love smc football. One week fans are lined up talking about backs running wild and the next week crickets.

Friday night was pretty hard to watch....I ain't giving up on anybody, but will be interesting to see if any changes are made this week.

Franklin is well coached and after a couple of years being down, looks like they're back Murphy will still be there in the end they always are........
It’s one game. Too many mistakes were made and Franklin capitalized. It happens. The Pit has always been hard place to play maybe even the toughest place Murphy has to play year in and year out. Coach Watson will get it figured out. Too much talent on that team this year not to.
I had to address this, that's a bold face LIE. I never left this spring after the first Robbinsville loss and never said I was leaving either. Go back and look at my post history, after the Robbinsville loss I was immediately posting about preliminary playoff brackets and then Murphy's matchup with Thomas Jefferson, proof is in the pudding.

From our side of the feild Murphy looked very unorganized. Lots of miscommunication and timeout taken because of wrong setup. We picked on their defence backs all night. Any team that can throw will move the ball against those corners. On defence other than a couple plays we handled them all night. Fastest kid in the west didn’t look to fast when hes on his back and we kept rumsfelt scrambling all night. Good showing by my panthers.
Murphy will be fine. When they get to conference they will be in the fight for 1st place barring injuries or Covid. After watching the game Saturday I don’t think people are giving enough credit to Franklin Franklin played a good game and was well prepared. Don’t ever count Murphy out

Na the panthers don't have a winning record against Robbinsville or Swain over the past 15 or 16 years..Franklin is Franklin..1 round and done

I haven't had a single conversation with the coaching staff about anything. I just sat in the stands and watched the game like everyone else did. I think it's our turn I say that every year but this is my sons senior year so it's even more special it comes down to us you or Robbinsville I'm praying Mitchell my son has worked hard hes ready plays both ways go Mountaineers praying for all teams to avoid Covid!
Lot of truth on this. Murphy is going to have some growing pains, they replace a Hall of Fame coach, the long time DC, and now 1A is all together which will be tougher on all. But they will be a force come conference time and in the playoffs.
After what I saw Friday dont count out Robbinsville. I'm pleasantly surprised. Playing with anger and Gross can sling the ball around when he has to. We'll see how it plays out.
Anytime we can take the wind out of murphys sailes is a good day.
We welcome either Robbinsville or Murphy to the Regional finals hopefully at Mitchell Robbinsville should have had to travel to Mitchell last year we were 1 seed but due to the stupid cointoss well you know the outcome

Mitchell has some classy fans and coaches. Probably the best I've seen.

I hope we host it and get a rematch from the spring last time the knights came to Ledger we beat em 35-14 3 yrs ago, I think these 2 teams are near identical skill wise it would be one that was talked about for years a barnburner that came down to the last snap
No they wasn’t but we did have a 10 grader that shredded the mounties defense for 290 yds
Yes he did....he had one of the best runs I’ve personally ever seen late in that game. It was 4th and forever and he busted a counter play for a touchdown. I’ll never forget it.
Having to tell some folks in Tarboro the same thing. We’re 53-2 in our last 55 games and we still have people ready to run coaches out of town because we lost Friday night.
In 2016 Murphy lost to Franklin 42-7. Went on to go 15-1 and win a state title. The amount of drama is at a new level on here this year. Not much fun anymore, no reason to be calling kids, parents and coaches out.
