A loss by the Zags would have all but knocked them off the 1-line. Too bad St. Mary's couldn't hang on.

In addition, UCLA collapsed down the stretch against Zona.

Both of those teams losing would've given us a bit of leeway for a #1 seed. Shucks. I guess we have to keep winning.

If we take care of our own business we will be fine. I don't worry too much about someone else losing for us. I see us winning out in the regular season and making a deep run in the ACC tourney. That will secure a one seed. We are very good this year!!

If we win out the regular season I think we lock up a 1 seed as long as we don't lose to a bottom feeder in the conference tournament. Not only will a team or two around us lose but our resume will be impossible to match side by side
