In this film, Leo DiCaprio ridicules those who aren’t taking climate change seriously.

Also Leo DiCaprio: “Despite his stance on this, he spent some time enjoying the luxuries of the the 315ft, £110 million Vava II superyacht - which produces as much carbon from sailing seven miles as the average car produces in a year - during his latest jaunt abroad. -Jan 10, 2022”.

Hard pass.

It was great. Really enjoyed it. They skewer everyone. Left. Right. Center.
I've seen a lot of shallow takes on it interpreting it as just a parody of Trump/Republicans/MAGA, and the president clearly was in a lot of ways. But that ignores that Leo's character became just as much a cult figure for the other side who got caught up in the celebrity and had half of society just sharing memes about the AILF without DOING anything to try to address the problem, it ignores the self-serving celebrity "activism," the absolute skewering of the media, the corporate donors having more decision making power than the president or generals, the level of control that social media algorithms have on our culture, and overall the short sighted pettiness most people in the movie displayed.

Although I like how it made fun of how awful our current society is with misinformation and social media I ultimately found the movie forgettable and kinda meh, especially considering the people involved.

Yeah the hits on the right were super on the nose. The entire rest of the movie is an indictment of the left. But way more subtly done. I thought it was great.

It was better than I thought. J Lawrence did a really good job and laughed at the fact she could not let this one issue go away...talked about it to the very end.

Jonah Hill was funny in the few minutes he was in it. "Thanks for dressing up" with a fist bump.
