This is the hardest one to watch, in my 40+ years of watching Husker football. I’ve never seen a Husker team this lost, this defenseless.

Got this from a buddy at the game.

"There is absolutely no energy in here tonight. Not for the tunnel walk. Not for can you feel it. No one is clapping. It feels like a funeral home in here."

Look, you all can say what you want about what follows, however bad it looks right now we are in this very position because of fans like all of you who are asking to hit the reset button... right now I’m not seeing anything great from mike, this team just doesn’t have it... but here is the issue with hitting the reset button so often, NO coach will want to come here, it’s a death sentence, if you’re only giving three years to build a program back up from the ground then canned. I was not a fan of Bo, but I also didn’t want to fire him because he had the winning record, I called it then that if we fired him we wouldn’t get a quaility coach to come in, and now here we are... we as Nebraska fans live in the past when we used to be great, and we still demand that very same greatness as we should, however I don’t foresee us ever getting there by hitting reset ever three years or foreign coaches with winning records just because we don’t win the National total every year, we as fans need to learn to let things happen... I do agree that right now it doesn’t look like we have the talent to do anything... I’m no sure if it’s because of mike or what, I do know running a 3-4 with linebackers and d linemen meant to play in a 4-3 probably isn’t the best way to succeed. And I also know that when your QB tosses more TD passes to the opposing team then our own isn’t a recipe for success... Mike has shown he will make changes and he is bringing in what looks to be great young talent... I would love to see Nebraska back at the top but I just don’t thing hitting the reset button every three years is the answer that’s all

Mikey can make all the changes in the world...unless he fires himself it won’t matter.

I've never left, or turned off a husker game in over 30 years of watching. Even in the lowest Callahan years. Tonight may be the first time I turn the game off

This experiment didn’t work; and year 3 was plenty of time to show progress. Instead, we regressed. There’s no upside sticking with the status quo. Best to cut our losses, and hope we can find someone that will bring a better approach.

Name players that would make the OSU 2 deep?
We might be able to compete against their second team, if that’s your point. I watched their coach completely immersed in correcting even their smallest mistakes. We are sloppy, and resist trying anything different, even when we’re getting slaughtered. That’s on the coaches.

This will not get better under this staff. I don't want to hit the reset button every 3 years. But this staff doesnt have it. Its obvious and has been. Hitting the reset button this time has to be done.
