I mean who beats him? A healthy Feldman and Keuter are the only guys that really jump out to me right now.

Guys who can beat Doucet: Ferrari, Kueter, Feldman, Ziola, Mirasola, Carroll, Merrill, Amos. Will all 8 beat him? Maybe not, but any of them could beat him and it only takes two to knock you out of the tournament.

There are also a few more guys who are talented and could improve a lot next season like Hopke and Catka.

Anyone could beat anybody. Doesn’t mean they will.

I think that's the point though. Doucet doesn't stand out among the heaviweights. I believe he would likely AA again, but it's a crap shoot as far as who would be top 4. He benefitted from Ferrari forfeiting this year also. A heavy like Wyatt or Gable or Kerkvliet would smoke this field. Having said that, I like Doucett a lot and I hope he gets another year if he wants it, so Ross can acclimate.

I have great admiration and respect for Doucet but I do not believe he will get another year or that he wants it. I am a firm believer that an athlete in any sport entering college should get five years with no exceptions.

.....someone related the first question on KD which should be answered which is "does he want it..."...........................a pin in Gallager-Iba is quite memorable as a home experience!.........can anyone express directly his answer to this question?

I don’t have any direct info but I’d imagine if they’re actively applying for it then he must be interested.

Was Konnor even actually injured? Heard Pyles talking about little Mirasola getting a medical which is silly bc an injury is not what kept him out of the lineup. The injury that kept him out is named Josh Barr. Similar feeling about KD. I realize the response is “the system gets abused all the time, we’re just playing within the rules of the current system”… but felt the need to verbally eye roll the ridiculousness of it all.

Good to see Konnor and Goff training in the room with Dreshaun in the most recent Stilly Boys episode
Goff is soooo talented. Thought he was gone for good with possibly some grade issues and also heard the work ethic wasnt there. Not sure if this is true or not, I was told by someone that he's got some motivation to "make it work" at OSU and with wrestling. Not necessarily starting, but doing things right in class and the room. Regardless, I'm glad hes back!

Think he gets some run this season at either 197 or HWT? Not sure what he’s weighing these days

I posted this earlier during last season sitting next to some Blackwell people. They backed up everything you posted. One parent who's son wrestled with Goff said everything has come easy to him and his motivation or lack thereof was his biggest issue. This dad added that Goff's family was not happy with his lack of effort and he has been"put to work" since leaving Stillwater.
I hope that he has found his motivation to be a top notch wrestler.

Where at those weights do you think Goff could get some mat time? Any chance he could make 184 :)
