It sure would be interesting to see a blowhard media member like Gottlieb take over a major program. DG has dissected coaches, players & GM's in every sport including Duke("alarmingly unathletic"). Hope DG gets the job and picked apart for every loss, bad TO & poor recruiting choice.

That would be a pretty silly hire, on the surface, for Oklahoma St. to make. Has Gottlieb ever coached? I ask because I really don't know.

I'll also defend him some. Yes, he's a blowhard/shock jock type, but I think it's also what he's paid to do. Saying Duke was alarmingly athletic was probably overboard, but in general that 2010 team was, in fact, lacking athleticism. They were just really, really good ballers who were able to overcome it.

He would be walking into a buzzsaw. It is hard to get a gig better than an ESPN analyst. The recruiting, hours, and daily pressure of being a D1 coach would eat him alive. If he thinks that's what he wants to do then let him knock himself out -- It would be stupid.
