I know how much this board loves Gottlieb, so you'll probably all be disappointed to know his coaching career is off to a rough start. He somehow convinced UW-Green Bay to let him keep his full time radio job while also being the head coach.

Well, he got called out by Schefter on Twitter this week.

Then his team played DII Michigan Tech at home today. Earlier in the week he called them "Nobody U" and implied they would win by 20.



Well, they lost to Nobody U and now sit at 2-11 on the year. Very disappointing and I hope he can pull it together because we all know he's such a good guy.

The real idiot here is the Green Bay AD that thought hiring a radio talking head with no real coaching experience to be their HC. I get that he played. I get that his dad & brother are coaches. But this guy hasn't actually earned any coaching chops. On top of that, he's proven to let his ego guide his actions (theft, online beefs with people, basically D Danish lite).

Why expose your program to this guy? Because he's a hotshot from Milwaukee? To most of us he's a joke as a sports analyst. Now he's your coach too??!!

Michigan Tech wasn't Nobody U after all. But I gotta a good idea what school is soon to be.

As a former coach I cant imagine publicly stating , BEFORE THE GAME , that your opponent is basically trash and you shouldn't even be playing them . Coaches , from jr high to D1 know better than this , you simply never , NEVER EVER NEVER , state your opponent is anything less than capable of beating you . Privately you can dog them all you want , but this FOOL went on live stream and calls his opponent Nobody U ... I actually did small college coaching , but we played some even smaller level division teams than ours , I. cant imagine trashing them before the game. Takes a moron , and a moron with a horrible attitude towards others to say that . He has earned every insult thrown his way . True *******
