Back to the 60's tonight......I had one just like the combo\tv in the middle........

Yeah, my parents got one of those like that too, around 1966. Had the record player on that right end.
Three days after it was delivered, I blew out both of the woofers playing the Rolling Stones 'High tide and green grass' album, cranked up all the way. (of course)

Dad ask me about it, I dummied up.
That wouldn't have gone well.

Man, you both were spoiled. I grew up in the 80s, and my dad was so cheap that we had one Zenith and one black/white TV that my dad built from some back of the magazine kit. Neither had remotes. You had to pick UHF or VHF on both sets. My friends felt like they were in a time warp when they came over.

Well, my parents didn't have one. I purchased one in 1971. Sears and Roebuck credit. My first credit.

Our first TV, a used B/W Zenith Dad bought from a Kress store that had it running 24/7 in the front, sidewalk window. (1953)
It had a remote.

A pair of plyers to change the channel with.

Now that's just a joke wrapped up in a GIF.

In that case, I read a good one on Facebook today.

A retired gentleman is out playing a round of golf one Saturday morning. When he finishes the 18 holes, he goes into the clubhouse to grab some lunch and a beer. Behind the bar is a stunning, young brunette and above her, the menu read:

Hamburger $8
Cheeseburger $9
French Fries $3
Beer $5
Handjob $250

The man calls the bartender over after reading the menu. She sees the smirk on his face and gets excited knowing exactly what he's going to ask. He leans across the bar and asks in a whisper, "Are you the one that's giving the handjobs?"

With a big grin on her face, she replies, "Yes, I sure am!"

The man nods in affirmation and thinks for a second. He then gestures for the bartender to lean across the bar close to him again. Ready for his order, she's almost giggling now.

The retiree then whispers to her again, "In that case, make sure you wash your hands really well, because I'd like a cheeseburger."

If the shoe fits....young ones....wear it.........

Did you watch that movie? I worked on this one building the futuristic themed sets. I expected a good movie since it was a Mike Judge picture. I couldn't even finish that stupid show when I finally tried to watch it. Office Space on the other hand was a good show with a much lower budget.

I've watched the movie once, just because it was a Mike Judge film. I loved his King Of The Hill series. Pure genius.
