There's always a lot of hype leading up to the draft night. Having said this, I would have hoped that the Browns new GM would indeed have included the Brown's HC in the discussion of who they are taking. The Browns are a team that to me is very intriguing. While their record sucks, they have positioned themseleves very well for this draft. I think they are poised to do well in this draft and are two drafts away from forming an excellent team. (this draft & next draft) The NFL is set up as such that a team can turn around their franchise w/ two solid drafts. While the record does not show this, the Browns actually had a great draft last year. They've traded down three of the past two drafts and I believe this draft they are finally ready to select a QB at #1. I don't think that Baker is their choice. I think it's smoke. Baker would be available at their #4 pick. I also don't think the Broncos will select Baker. Rumors are floating everywhere that both the Browns and the Broncos are shopping their #4 & #5 picks respectively. It's going to be a fun night. Trades are going happen to make it interesting.

With the other quarterbacks in the draft, all you hear about is "potential", "arm strength", yada yada. I think HCBS once said that "potential" just means you haven't done it yet. There's ONLY ONE quarterback in the draft that's done it over and over and over again. Any team that passes on Baker deserves to stay in the bottom of the pond with the catfish. Bake will make any team better. Immediately.

OK...forget my earlier post. I've watched the NFL Network since that post and now I'm back to being clueless again. o_O:D:confused: But wherever Bake goes, I wish him well. He's been so fun to watch as a Sooner. Unless it's to a NFC East team, I'll most likely jump on the bandwagon of the team he goes to. I actually kind of hope it is the Browns. I think they are getting ready for a run and the Dawg Pound will love him, especially if he delivers them a Championship.

My 'Tipster' just confirmed Baker #1...DON'T BET THE FARM, but his source is usually solid...

I'm not thrilled with Bake going to Brownsville, but they do seem to have a good Upside. I'd almost drink to that, to allow him to check the box on his Life-Long Dream of being picked Numero Uno.

IMO, He missed out on his Natty, through very little fault of his own...

Karma Time???

Better the Browns than the Jets.

The way I read it is that he wanted to stay at home and celebrate the whole thing with his family. If that is the case, I really don't blame him. This whole thing is an over the top spectacle.

It's entertainment. He's now a professional entertainer via the NFL as a professional football player.

Now I know that the Broncos are looking to intimidate opponents. That likely means low-risk offense. They will grab a runner next, it's a good situation for them, with excess picks early in the draft full of running backs.

Crapola! Riley will NEVER be able to 'Relieve MS of his duties', now...This picture is worth 1000 words...He is already indebted to Bob, and now he's his running mate...His Fun & Games, Buddy...It's going to be another lonnnnnng season...

That's my take, from the Distaff Side...

Wow... looking ahead, the Browns still have the #33 & #35 picks in the draft to select. That is some serious selections. #1, #4, #33, & #35. Kind of reminds me of when Jerry Jones picked the pocket of the Vikings in exchange for Herschel Walker. They loaded up w/ picks big time.

Been saying this for a while now. MS isn't going anywhere unless MS wants to. Riley would never fire the brother of the man who basically retired so he could have the job.

Or maybe it's just that Baker invited BOTH of his head coaches at OU to come celebrate with his family and friends.

Not a good day for the BigXII, outside of Baker. Only 1 player taken in the 1st round

I agree. I think Baker's the best college QB I've ever seen, and that's saying a lot. The pundits who claim that Baker wiil eventually play his way into a starting role don't understand him and seem to ignore the way these things almost always happen: the first guy drafted will be as ready as he can be to start on day one. I don't think even Cleveland realizes what they have. Don't ask me to explain the Ward pick, either...

They obviously have not seen Baker in person. He makes the others look like chumps. He is going to be a force to be reckoned with...if he stays healthy and plays things smartly. All the talking heads rubbed their loins to guys that will be out of NFL or pathetic back ups in 3 years if not sooner. Go get ‘em Baker !!
