Drawing Pass Interference Penalties

It seems like we've had a very low number of pass interference penalties called on our opponents. This isn't a ref complaint thread, but rather wondering if our guys don't know how to draw PI penalties properly. Part of drawing these penalties is effort and part is positioning. Also, throwing catchable passes is a must. Does anyone know a way to find out how many pass interference calls we've drawn this year? I bet it's alarmingly low. It's an art form, in a way, that our WRs don't dabble in.

Refs very seldom call pass interference anymore. I officiated for over 20 yrs in high school and the rule was the defensive player cannot physically impede the receiver from catching the ball. Now you seem them holding their arms and on their back just before the ball gets there. Then the announcers will say, "what great defense that was".

Very true. It does seem that some teams have a knack for getting the calls. We aren't one of them.
