Agreed. The offensive problems don't start and end with Towles but he's had ample opportunity to show he can get it done. It's beyond obvious that he can't. Barker isn't perfect, and I don't think it will be night and day with him, but you've got to at least let him start figuring it out. We can NOT handle another 14 games with Towles at QB.
Vandy obviously exploited Barker's inexperience by zone blitzing him when he came into the game, and he made a bad mistake. If he weren't getting his first meaningful minutes, maybe he doesn't make that throw. At this point, the chances of turning it around with Barker, small though they might be, are higher than the chances of turning it around with Towles.
