Dribbling

I noticed last year and again this year that our guards routinely pick up their dribble when they cross the time line. Why is that? When Siva was running the show in 2013 I remember Pitino talking about how they stressed that Siva and other guards should maintain their dribble. Siva was a master at keeping his dribble even when he would drive beneath the basket and back around to the top of the offense. He used to wear out defenders and kept himself from getting trapped. That philosophy seems to be completely lost on Mack's guys or maybe he just doesn't care.
Would anyone know if this is something Mack is concerned with addressing?

This is actually a good point and something I noticed a lot last year as well. It really makes them easy to trap/defend by doing that. I also think it just highlights the quality and skill level or comfort level of the guards we currently have. None of the guards look super confident/comfortable handling the ball especially under some pressure. Siva was a true PG... a really good one.

I agree I noticed they did this a lot against TT. Dribble up to a defender, stop dribbling and then try to pass out of it. But I also don’t like the dribble drive handoff either. Brings 2 defenders in the same location.
