Probably end up at UofL. They only have 9 QB's for next season.

I think UL has found their QB of the future, and that is something that should make us nervous. Bolin has looked very good, and we should not be afraid to admit that. I think the only question that somewhat remains is how good he will look without Parker.

However, FL is allegedly making a hard push for the 4* FL kid that committed to UofL earlier this year. He is a very good looking prospect. I am doubtful the Cards can hang on to him. Been a so called "soft verbal" all along.

Peace

Any thoughts on where he may end up...

Driskel is big ole boy with some ability...he may have seen his best days as QB though...I wonder if he has considered playing a different position...TE possibly

Regardless...I think he would be pretty good pick up for any team...tough, experienced, seems to be a decent kid...

Driskel was the undisputed #1 quarterback prospect in the 2011 class. Can't remember a worse #1 QB prospect ever. He makes Towles look like Joe Montana in terms of accuracy

He's played in today's game. I didn't read the article, so I don't know the specifics, but it would seem like it's bogus.

Bolin looked good throwing it to Parker. He also looked very bad giving us 14 points, plus the many overthrows and missed reads. He has done some good apart from Parker, but I don't think many UL fans think he will start next season.

Unless he has been kicked out of another program due to rape, adultry, robbery, assault or has failing grades....UofL will have no use for him. They are very strict about who they let into their exclusive club.

Could be right, but he also looked pretty solid against Georgia. Remember, he was a third string quarterback before playing us, so he wasn't even running that much practice squad. He may not start, but he has looked pretty poised and he has shown that he is able to make some very good throws. This in just two games, but still, he looks to have the ability to be their future quarterback. However, again, their offense looked very average without Parker.

Pretty much right on. Bolin did a decent job but I haven't started fearing him at this point. Clearly he's an improvement but he's still pretty average. And as you say he might not even be good enough to win the job next year.

I am glad Driskel didn't win many games at UF, but not because of him, because he was at UF. Driskel seems like a pretty good kid, hasn't been anything bad about his behavior in the news. He just didn't have the skills to be a good college qb, game never slowed down for him. If he were open to playing another position, say TE, I think he could be pretty good, very good athlete, a big guy who could add a little weight. If he were open to that option I wouldn't mind taking a chance on him if my TE depth was thin and had a scholarship to give. Have to figure being a qb he would have some decent hands at least.

You make some good points, Grumpy. Driskel is a good young man who had lots of talent, but for several reasons never could develop into a decent QB. He had one decent year in 2012 but regressed to the point that he was uncertain and inaccurate. Once he reached a point this season that he became a turnover machine, his confidence was shot, as was his starting role. I admire him for giving his all, keeping his nose clean, representing the university well, and maintaining a "team first" attitude after being benched. A certain degree of his failure as a QB might be laid at the feet of having had 3 different Offensive Coordinators in 4 years at UF.

He will be a Redshirt-Senior and has already graduated. Therefore, he will not have to sit out a year wherever he transfers for his final season. I agree with your assessment that he might have made a great TE, given his size, speed and athleticism. Anyway, the word seems to be that he will transfer to Duke. I appreciate his efforts as a Gator and wish him well in Durham and in life.

It will be interesting to see what Cutcliife can do with Driskel. I think Driskel could be serviceable under the right circumstances.

If there is any coach out there that can breath life back into this kid it's Cut.

You probably right D, Cut is the best or one of the very best qb coaches in college football. I never seen him work, but by his demeanor I think he would be a calm patient type of coach and that might be the right button for Driskel, not sure he has had that approach at UF. Like I said above, he seems like a good kid and I hope he successful at Duke at whatever he decides to play.

I'll give them Bolin as long as Parker is gone...The man will be all pro someday soon...Think he is better than A. Cooper...AND I HATE LOUISVILLE!!!!!

Exactly right concerning Bolin and UofL, they have their guy for the present and future. We need to be aware of how he picked us apart, as did other QB's, and shore up that leaky defense if we intend to take the next step in 2015.

He did? Yes, there were times he looked good but mostly he looked liked why he was a 3rd stringer to me against UGA. The only reason he came back into the game was because Reggie Bonnafon was a total disaster. UGA doubled Parker and forced his tendencies and that caused a lot of bad throws from Bolin. Maybe he gets better with more snaps but there are a ton of questions for UL at QB next year. I don't think Driskel is the answer either. At least not until he knocks off a liquor store or two.

I haven't heard anything official about where he might end up, but based on the success that Tyler Murphy had this year, I would not be surprised to see him end up with Addazio at Boston College.

He's headed to La Tech to play for one Skipper Holtz(hope Lou doesn't slobber all over him). La Tech did win 9 games this year.

I've also heard that his girlfriend at UF, who is originally from the Tampa area, is now a graduate student at La Tech. If true, this would explain the choice.

She must be something special and/or there was more of a solid guarantee of starting and playing at Tech...

LA Tech, conference-usa, Skip Holtz...or Duke, David Cutcliff, ACC, better shot at top bowl game, and grad degree from prestigious institution...

girl better be on her way to making the cover of Vogue, SI Swim, and Vanity Fair...and walking down the runway with the angels at the next Victoria Secret fashion show...
