Who did t show up?
Given how many people were there, it might be difficult to get a good read on who was there and wasn't. The other thing is, it's still finals week. Some guys may have had finals still or have been working to check out of residence halls, etc. This is a pretty busy time on the OSU campus, so we may not be able to read too deeply into who was or wasn't there.

Throwing Caldwells name out there for helping was noteworthy for me. Would love to keep him on as recruiting coordinator.
I think that was hopefully intended to imply that he will be sticking around. DT acknowledge the importance of making the guys feel comfortable and that to me means keeping some familiar faces around.

Really wish he would of been asked some better questions. Like did you consult Cael on this decision and what did he say. Have you spoke with JS and what was that conversation like?

He seemed to me to come across still hesitant and uncomfortable with his decision. It probably is just that it happened so fast that he hasn't really had time to let it all sink in yet. Its a big change for him and the fact that he is hanging up his shoes in order to take on this roll probably weighs on him.

Has it been confirmed what Zo is doing? I saw Dee say in an interview he hopes they keep him and Zo posted an orange heart in response to that but haven’t seen anything official. He seems to be the young studs (Dee and Jax for example) favorite freestyle coach
I would think guys like Caldwell and Zo are just now probably having really good convos with DT. First few days were guys that didn’t want to stick around, followed by guys DT might not want around, now to the point of guys that stayed to basically apply for the job.

I could be way off on that but seems a natural progession and this is all happening so fast.

I think David had to be real careful and measured in not saying anything that would lead people to believe that Smith wasn't getting the job done and that he is the programs Savior because of it. He actually got close to that line a couple times imo but didn't cross it. It's tough when you're replacing a legend.

He mentioned a few times about talking with John. Seemed to me like a guy who's first time doing this. Not bad considering first time and using no notes while Chad had his written out. IMO he speaks better than Cael but this lrob wasn't his best. Also prob a little difficult talking about how he's going to fix this with John right there in the room.

Here’s a good interview with Gilman. Pretty impressive.

Edit: requires a sub to watch. My bad.

Here’s the Cliffs. It was great.

Well I'm packin' up my game and I'ma head out west
Where real women come equipped with scripts and fake breast
Find a nest in the Hills, chill like Flynt
Buy an old drop-top find a spot to pimp
And I'ma Gil-Man it up and down your block
With a bottle of scotch and watch lots of crotch
Buy a yacht with a flag sayin' "Chillin' the Most"
Then rock that ***** up and down the coast
Give a toast to the sun, drink with the stars
Get thrown in the mix and tossed out of bars
Sip the Tijuana, I wanna roam
Find Motown, tell them fools to come back home
Start an escort service for all the right reasons
And set up shop at the top of Four Seasons
Tom Gilman and I'm the real McCoy
And I'm headed out west sucker because I wanna be a

Cowboy, baby!
With the top let back and the sunshine shinin'
Cowboy, baby!
West Coast chillin' with the Boone's wine
I wanna be a Cowboy, baby!
Ridin' at night 'cause I sleep all day!
Cowboy, baby!
I can smell a pig from a mile away

Just watched Daton's interview on Flo. It starts out pretty tough, but gets better a a minute or two in. He said a few things that really stood out. One was his love for Stillwater and OSU Wrestling and desire to stay LONG term. He also lights up when talking about getting to scrap in the practice room against Gilman. There's a few points in the interview where it seems like he's almost about to speak candidly about how excited he is for the change but instantly reigns himself in and just makes a generic positive comment.

I've thought for years now, that he really needs an outside perspective to help open his wrestling up a bit, and now it's so bleeping awesome that he is going to get that perspective while getting to stay in Stillwater!

daton was fixing to have to leave if he wanted to get better and achieve his goals

i’m so happy what he needed came to him

DT bringing up daton and caldwell by name spoke volumes about their future
