Barney and Hunter I will agree on. McCollough no. You could just put a chair in his spot and the chair would be more productive. This guy, like so many other Pre season Huskers, was supposed to be a high draft pick. He has played himself into the 6-7 round, if he gets drafted at all.

Case in point. Emmitt Johnson. Anybody watching the game tape last year could see EJ was by far our best back. Yet when Dana arrived he was buried at 3rd string on the depth chart. Once Dana looked at some game tape that changed ASAP. My point being, nobody on this staff had any clue who the top RB was. Zero clue. Until Dana got here. That speaks volumes about the total lack of detail and ability for this staff to evaluate talent. Even when it is standing right in front of them. Zero clue.
Disciplne and development. We've outrecruited them in star rankings. They've put walkons in the NFL.
Similar to when Mariah Carey said she'd love to be thin like the Ethiopians, except for the dirt and the death and stuff.
If an average or above average team has a total stud at a key position, those powers like OSU, BAMA, GA or big NIL schools need a plug-in player like that, they are only filling one or two real positions of need and can really throw the dough at them.
When it comes to receiving a much larger offer from another school, loyalty has become secondary. As a dad, if my son was in high demand, I say take the money since any player can be one play away from having a career ending injury.
Many guys are driven to make a lot of money through coaching, betting horses, etc as the vehicle for wealth. Once that level is reached, rather than the desire to make a lot more money, for many, it becomes a time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Having more than you need and taking care of those you care about is the definition of success.
The giant bankrolls are for the DJT's, Gates, Musk, Buffett types. Gaining as much wealth as possible becomes the focal point of their lives. They wield power and have all their "yes" men around them, while the former have achieved true freedom.
This revisit down memory lane with Bo reminds me of my single time after my divorce. Every single girl I dated, and broke up with, eventually got a "How you doin" text from me a few mos. later, and visa versa if they ended it with me. Every single time. Why? Cause after you go without for a few mos. you tend to forget about her temper, that broke my front door when she stormed out, etc etc. Or her addiction to scripts, or that she threatened to kill herself, or that she always wanted sex in public places where you might get caught, or that she had 2 black kids... (all different girls mind you)

If it wasn't Eichorst it would have been somebody else that pissed off Bo and made him act like a petulant child. He hired multiple criminals as position coaches and coordinators and ironically, once they had to leave, the defense started falling apart. His teams played with a chip on their shoulders as if they had it really hard because the fans had high expectations, but Bo was absolutely delusional and hated recruiting. He thought he was in the same league as urban meyer or nick saban. and therefore couldn't take instruction. This is why he flamed out even before the NIL era. Bo talked **** to his bosses and the fans and didn't win anything and was still being paid a relatively high salary to not win anything. As bad as Rhule is...he could still win 8 games, and Bo basically capped out at 9 with a schedule full of big 10 west and sunbelt teams. Bo won less than 20% of his games against top 25 teams. As a Cubs fan, I am starting to think the husker stuff is cultural karma from the 90s. A combination of very high expectations, thinking winning is easy, and trusting authority too much because of T.O and filling the stadium like freaks because we were the goat 30 years ago.
