Dudley thrown out of football playoffs???????

Today on the FOX8 5:00 News…

It's one of the best high school football teams in the state. So why,
despite all of their wins, has Dudley High School been thrown out of
the post-season?

If you forfeit a game after the playoff brackets are set, the rules call for expulsion from the playoffs are 15 other teams are now effected because you are seeded incorrectly and your record is incorrect.

Crest has a whole team of ineligible players and they are still playing. That is the NCHSAA for you.

Ramnasty if you believe that then I just don't know what to tell you. To say Crest is the darling of the NCHSAA is not true and that is no disrespect to Crest.
In 2005, the Chargers were preparing to take a drive up to Greensboro to play Grimsley in the 4A West Regional final. They had to pull their kids off the bus because they had forfeited all their wins from that season and the Grimsley game due to an ineligible player not for JV but I think it was academics.
Crest does everything in their power to make sure that never happens again, Barnes is a great coach too. He wouldn't let that go on.

Dudley's second appeal has been denied. They are out of the playoffs.
