I was number 283 to go in according to the lady who ran the clicker so you had to be low 300’s...we started signatures around 2:45pm. Crazy.
Oh wow! Did you see the line after you came out? I walked to take my stuff to the vehicle and the line looked the same before we started. Unbelievable and people were still showing up. My wife got some awesome pictures of the team coming out and at least walking by the group who didn't even get inside the building. They were escorted around to the back side of Cameron. Them boys are long lol.

Brings back memories of the Oct. 90 autograph session. The autographed team picture and ball are two of my most prized Duke memorabilia items.

Was even able to video tape the session which I still have. What was really great less than than six months later that team won the first Duke national title.

Hope you guys that experienced today’s session are able to have the same memories of today and this team that I have of that 91 team.

Man I’m usually cautious with these younger teams but something seems right about this team. If they can shoot just average from 3, Jack stays beast mode as 6th man, and Bolden/Jav can be a two-headed monster in the middle, I think we’ll see a beautiful finish to the season in April.

So cal, I'm with you. They just seem so complete and together already. Nothing else to focus on except getting better. You look at this team and know they have all the pieces to make it happen. I'm going down with the ship on this one lol.

IMO this team has one thing that we haven’t really seen at Duke since the 2014-15 team and that’s a really strong team chemistry. You can tell that this team really enjoys playing basketball together like the 2014-15 team did.

Add a nasty defense and you got something to work with for sure. Probably the biggest thing I'm happy about. The defense is old Duke style.

Seems to be a lot of hurt feelings on social media from fans who didn't get in. Hate to be like this, but you decide to plan and show up around noon and later than that, then expect to get in on a 2 hour signing block with Duke, not to mention the hype alone with this team. I don't know what to say. Some serious underestimating the Duke fan base. When you have guys like so cal, flying in with 2 young daughters, 7 hour drives in the pouring rain, fans in line at 5:30 am, 17 hour drive from OKC, that's called uncomfortable sacrifices to get what you want. Early birds will always get the worms.

I think the reason some of the fans are upset about not getting autographs is because from what a friend of mine told me that was there and got inside but didn’t get a chance to get autographs. My friend said that once he got inside Cameron that he and everyone in Cameron at that time would get autographs but then they ended up cutting the line off at 4 o’clock and people that were told that they would get autographs ended up not getting a autographs.

They opened the door at 1 pm to start moving people inside Cameron that looped around by the consession stand once you were inside. I got through the door at around 2. It wasn't until about 3 that my group went down the steps to start getting autographs. I remember crazie4life saying he don't think he was going to make it in, but did. They had to cut it off at 4 regardless of where you were in line to head out to K's house. They told us that we may not make it, but we did. Unless they changed the briefing we got inside, we were told inside as well no matter where you're at, 4pm is it. That was the second time we were told we may not make it to get anything signed. I think people was hoping once they got inside they were safe. But that wasn't the case. Down on the floor was the safe area I guess.

I know one thing, I was tired by the time I got home last night, but well worth the memory for me and my family. By the way, I'm not sure what Cams issue is with blue markers. I had my white jersey signed in blue marker by everyone and when I got to him he asked if black was ok cause he didnt do blue...that was a head scratcher. I also caught Nolan Smith to sign it on the 2

I think people are missing out on the time frame. 2-4 and no posses with players due to time restraints. As many people that was inside at one time in line, if they would of shut the doors and said everybody inside will get autographs, they would of been there well past 5-6 pm. I was right at the door at 2. By the time I got down on the floor, it was already 3:15 as I made it to the last table with jack and Javin.

Yes I'm tired as heck too. On my way back to Atlanta now. It was well worth the early arrival and long wait in line. So glad you made it in man! The wife got some awesome pictures.

I know I wasnt able to attend the autograph session my kids and I did get the chance to meet Wendell Moore and get him to sign a few things. He’s a super cool guy and personalized the Beachball program to my son.

I was one of the unfortunate ones, Got inside Cameron at 2:30 ish.. We stood in line until Nolan and security came out at 4:06 and said SORRY guys, we're not taking any more people (We were right (15 people ahead of me) at the door to be the next group in)). He (Nolan) said the team was sorry and they would come out and High five all of those in the building and thank them for coming out.. Then we would be allowed to go on K court. My son was heartbroken (stood in line since 11:30). Some fans took it really hard (lil girl who was ahead of us cried and was obviously disappointed)., seeing how the "supervisors" assured us IF you get inside the building you were able to get signatures. Oh well, lesson learned. If we had gotten there 30-45 min earlier pretty sure we would have been in that last group. I did get pretty cool video of them, son said Zion gave him high five.. And we all got Nolan's autograph.

GO DUKE!

They came out and said they had 400 inside and we couldn't go in till they get that line down and they are definitely stopping at 4 cause the team has to be somewhere at 430. They were only anticipating around 300 and I bet there are over 1500 people behind me

They were only anticipating 300? For a free autograph session with Zion on the team? Did somebody lose their mind or something? How did they ever think there would only be 300 ppl? Sometimes I think the Duke people who plan these things have no clue....

And that first i heard 300 expected. In my section of the ine were told only expecting 250, which everyone in line were looking absolutely dumbfounded that anyone would think that.. I tell you what I certainly don’t want whomever made that forecast, on my business team. LOL. its all good though. Glad to hear some of the posters here had more success than I did.

A buddy of mine that went was also told that everyone that was inside Cameron at that time would get autographs but it got cut off before he got in to get autographs, I believe he said that there were something like 30 people ahead of him in line when they ended it and he also said he heard that they were only expecting around 300 people but there was probably around 4-5 times that many that showed up.

I think 1,500 may have been light, too. That’s the scary thing.

I mean if they were in LA, maybe there would have only been 100-200 people to show up.

But on campus at Duke, the whole team doing FREE autographs? This wasn't well thought out at all. I can imagine some fans and certainly children went home disappointed.

I’m surprised they did it at all. When they show to Women’s games security surrounds them like Secret Service surrounding the President. It’s insane.
