Highest rated National Championship game in history, book it.

I don't think it's all that unrealistic a possibility.

We can hope but I think UNC rolls Auburn. We have such a brutal draw just getting to a final 4...not that we can’t, aren’t the best team...but we didn’t get any favors as the #1 overall in comparison to others at this stage of the game

I'd like it because it would mean another FF. I just read an article that said we've only made one FF since 2010. Def. a glass half empty take, as we had titles in 2010 and 2105.

Yeah, that definitely is a negative way of looking at that. Two FF's in 10 years (and both were a natty), that's excellent. There are some pretty good basketball programs out there that haven't ever made one FF. But that's the expectations of Duke basketball. The only bad thing is that UNC has done better, but still doesn't change how fortunate we are.

I don't want it to happen. If you don't live in North Carolina, you may not realize how it would play out. It would estrange some family members, result in innumerable physical altercations... it wouldn't shock me if it led to a death or two.

My experience has been that the strongest feelings emanate more from the Carolina fans, but a meeting with those implications would ratchet it up on both sides to an absurd degree.

Geez i sure hope so
Not that I am wishing players to miss games, because you want your team to be at full strength, so you don't want that karma. But Little is a game time decision with the Flu and coryfly is saying that there is word that Cam Johnson is showing symptoms too.

Carolina seems lucky this year. Something will go wrong with Auburn seems likely. Can’t shoot or something.

UNC has done better since 2010? I though they have been in 2016 and 2017 winning one title? Am I missing a Final Four appearance? Of course if you go back one year to 2009 that changes.

Not many programs have more than that in that same time frame. UNC has 2, Kansas has 2, UK has 4 because of that weird 2011 tournament and the 2014 tournament in which every single one of their games came down to a game winning shot by the good Harrison twin, Nova has 2 that resulted in titles, Louisville has 2, Uconn has 2, Michigan/Syracuse have 2, Michigan State has 2 if counting 2010.

It could be the highest in history for Zion alone. Add UNCheat and it would be for sure. But I'd rather play someone else.

Cam ain't sick. More built-in drama, though.

If you could pick either of the following, which would it be:

a) Duke wins by 20 tonight and UNC loses by 20 tonight (no guarantees about the rest of the tourney tho)
or
b) Duke plays UNC in the title game both sides fully heathly

A is the ONLY option.

You’re guaranteeing me a spot in the finals, with Zion , RJ, and the rest of the team healthy?
“B” all day long. I’ll take my chances for a title with this team fully healthy against anybody

You're right, Mo.St. Dukie, you do have to go back to 2009 for UNC to look a little better. It just seems like the Heels have the edge at the moment with going in '16 & '17 and finally beating us a few times (something they hadn't done regularly in years). This year is a big one...either one wins a natty and it changes the stats quite a bit. Hopefully, our Devils TCB.
