You can’t take option B, unless it was guaranteed Duke wins by more than 2 possessions.
You guys need to understand this isn’t a regular season, or even an ACC Tournament title. This is for ALL the marbles, and LIFETIME bragging rights. They couldn’t print T-shirts fast enough for the winner, and the loser, if you live in North Carolina, would see those shirts til you die, along with their fans running that mouth all the time.
I realize this is just a hypothetical scenario. But, unless we without a doubt know we will beat them before we play them, which we don’t, you take the holes losing 8 days a week, even if it means we may not win it all.

The whole season is about winning a title. You can’t control who you will play. All you can do is try to get to that game. Guarantee me a spot in the finals and our entire team is healthy, I’ll take that shot at the title. And if you have a fearful or less than killer mindset, you probably can’t win it anyway

A. UNC should not even be allowed to play in the tournament with all the corruption surrounding their program.
you guys are acting like there is no way we would beat Carolina in the title game. We have Zion. I'd take that.
I think it’s part not wanting them to make it that far and not wanting to risk it. Duke most definitely could win it. But, something awful could happen as well like in the first game and Duke loses. Then we all have to live with UNCheat having the NC H2H win for our lifetimes.

Here's the thing about playing the cheaters in the title game. If we win of course that would be wonderful but if we lose with me living in tar heel county N.C. I just couldn't deal with it. Even if we won it would be torture because of the refs giving us the game or we cheated our way through the game with getting away with pushing , grabbing , holding and of course Coach K getting his way. I just want them out of the way. Aso it has been said in an above post it just ain't worth it. OFC
I (obviously) hate UNC, but I appreciate their presence for the simple fact that I love the rivalry. It’s fun being a fan involved... I think playing each other for a title will make the rivalry less thrilling. If the loser of the title game wins a regular season game and gets bragging rights the natural response is, “Yeah but we still got the banner win!” — I don’t like the idea of that.
Yeah, winning the title game against UNC would be the best day of my life in terms of being a sports fan, but losing to them would burn a hole in my heart. I do think that we’re better but not by a large enough margin to feel comfortable about our chances.

Not this year. Someone on here told me Duke and Carolina was a tier above everyone else. Can't underestimate no one this time of year
