Duke fans in Ky

I think there are more people on this board living in Ky than I realized after finding out about a couple more that I didn't know about.
So, who all here lives in Ky, and what part? Not necessary to name the city if you don't want to. Maybe county, or just east, central, west.

I am in Scott county

That's interesting. Born and raised in Ky, how did you become a Duke fan?

I have been out that way a few times. Used to hunt land between the lakes and have fished ky lake a few times

Born and raised in Paintsville Kentucky and live there now, lived there my entire life other than moving around for the military and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Lived in Lexington for 3 years and absolutely hated it!

I don't live in KY, but I have lots of family in Lexington and spent a summer there while in law school. It's an awesome town, despite the fact that it's filled with Duke haters.

Now DukefanKY is a different animal, Mildcats better walk on the other side of the street of that dude when he comes to town.

I starts this thread because I started noticing there were more of us here than I thought. Thinking maybe we could al get together and infiltrate some sports bar to watch a game!
Imagine when aboit 8 or 10 Duke fans roll up in there!! I have a couple friends at work who are also Duke fans, but I haven't convinced them to join the board yet.

Little fun story. I have a fairly cool job (cant disclose what I do) and as part of my job I have been on two tours of Rupp and worked inside Rupp. In Kentucky's mens locker room it is fairly cool . they have a great players area and part of it is a display for the 2012 trophy and piece of the floor. On my first tour in the summer of 2015 I asked the tour guide ( who knew I was a Duke fan) where the 2015 trophy was, and why I couldn't find it in Rupp. She about had me thrown out lol.

My mom was born and raised in Harlan and all her family is from there. Basketball season was always fun with my papaw lol (huge UK fan). When I was was kid we were there for a game and they were only up a few at half and I said “man it would be funny if they lost” and he got so mad it wasn’t even funny! He told people me and my brother did that till the day he died.

My first wife was from Harlan. I've been there several times. I used to play in their annual open golf tournament at the Harlan country club
