That's why as crazy as this season as been, it is very possible that they meet. Can't worry about that now BUT if it did happen oh my. And to think how bad it would be if we lost, I'd have to be committed

A good part of that Nova team from last year is still around. They will be tough and can beat us. Before that though, Baylor/SMU could present problems.

It's March. If you don't play well, you are subject to get sent home.

Count me in the group that doesn't want to see the cheaters again. I think we would beat them again in a close one, but I'd rather not.

Hopefully it becomes moot because they lose early on.

Oh they very well could beat Duke but I like the way Duke is playing right now. I think the tough ACC schedule will pay off. They have played a decent schedule but not an ACC tough schedule. Where they will give Duke a hard time is their ability to drive it. Duke doesn't defend good drivers real well. It would be a good matchup. Nobody matches up well with Tatum right now.

The way I feel about this bracket is how I felt about it in 2015, which was starkly different than 2010. I think we can beat every team in the region if we come to play.

Each of those 2 seasons had a defining moment in the form of a loss where the team recovered and put it all together after. I feel like for this team it was a win. I think beating the Cheaters for the second time was that moment for this team. May have even been Louisville.

The biggest fear I have with this team is that we play down to our opponents. At least in my opinion. If anything, I worry about the first weekend more than anything after that. I actually feel like this team needs a certain amount of pressure to play at its best and the team will play better as the stakes get higher.

I won't say it too loud, but I like our path this year. I have confidence in the coaching staff and this team. Fortunately, my boss (me) gave me Thursday and Friday off this week. I can't wait.

Let's win this thing.

Funny. My boss (me) gives me Thursday and Friday off too. Sounds like we have two pretty cool bosses.

I don't want a Duke-UNC game in the NCAAT, period....let alone for the national championship.

But I will say this....if you promised me a spot right now in the championship game, even if it was UNC, I'd take it. I might not survive the game, but I'd take it.

Mannn nooooo absolute way!! I want to see a UNC Duke title game! I'd be a nervous wreck before the game ...not to mention if we lose I might commit suicide ...please no ...I'm sure no tarheel or Duke fan wants to see that ..be good for ratings though..even if we won I'd prolly end up dead from celebrating alcohol poising lol

Ur brave ...I wouldn't take that if UNC hadn't won a game all year..I know that's not possible but You know what I mean

This is the last thing on this, and it really irks me. And based on the way Hollis answered the Duke-UNC question, he did not expect it and was completely a BS response.

Syracuse does not get in (and rightfully so) mainly because of absolute futility away from the Carrier Dome. But, the Orange have also shown they can win and not be an easy out in the tournament, maybe deserving of a shot in the first four. But we give UNC a one-seed, who's best neutral and away win are vs #8 seed Wisconsin and vs #10 seed Oklahoma State in Maui back in November, vs #8 seed Miami, and at #11 seed Wake Forest by 6. So Syracuse is dinged for an atrocious showing away from their dome, but UNC is not dinged at all (when talking about a one seed, very much higher threshold) very having paltry showings away from their dome?

Meanwhile, Duke has a win (road or neutral) vs number 1 seed (UNC), vs number 2 (L'Ville), vs number 4 (Florida), at 5 2x (Virginia, Notre Dame) and vs a 5 (Notre Dame), at #11 (Wake Forest) and vs #11 (Rhode Island)...

Every CONCEIVABLE measure has Duke > than UNC, yet UNC FOUR spots higher on S-curve...

I need reasons for things. When a coach asks me to change a scoring call in baseball, I must know why. We are the home team is not good enough. So if Duke had the wins, and the only question mark was injuries and how would this team play healthy, was answered, for the life of me I cannot wrap my head around UNC not only being a one, but four spots higher on the S-Curve.

You guys are looking at the Duke/UNC matchup all wrong. I like our chances against them right now and you could wear that "2017 National Champions" hat for the rest of your life and every UNC fan would know what that meant.

Being from Wisconsin and working with Marquette alumni, this potential 2nd round matchup would be the most concerned I would be until having to face Nova.

^This. Just get us there, that's all we ask! The only problem is, I used to be able to watch Duke/NC every night. Now, ONE NIGHT of watching these two play requires More Recovery Time for me than MINOR SURGERY! :)
