By some Louisville home cooking. Duke player stripped the ball from the UofL receiver and recovered the fumble in the red zone which would have set them up for no less than a field goal. But the ref said the receivers forward progress was stopped prior to the strip. He was spinning away upfield from the tackler who had him wrapped not sure how that's considered forward progress being stopped.

I am listening to the UofL radio call and even they were surprised on that call.

Never seen a bigger phuckin than that. Duke either goes in to take the lead or tie it, and would've had all the momentum. Unbelieveable. :flush: Wonder if the linebeard's over at Card March will start a multiple page thread complaining about the refs this time?

Duke is not even trying to win. Just trying to keep the score down.

All they do is run up the middle and drag each down to the end of the clock.

Duke is driving on the Cards early in the 4th, they trail 17-7. A score and it might get a little tight for Lullvull !!!

That was a bad call. While UL did score a couple of plays later, Im surprised the flood gates didn't open. Credit to puke.

Does UL always have all 11 defenders within 10 yds? Or so they just not respect duke WRs?

35 pt dog with a real shot to beat the #3 team in the country on their home field,, yeah pitiful coaching by Cutcliff!!
UofL is #7, but got to give it to Duke with their plan of playing keep away by draining the clock as much as possible of course the UpfL fumble on the 5 didn't help much either.

good lord guy. Duke is playing A+ brilliant. They are controlling the entire game and keeping Lamar off the field. I hope like hell Gran and Stoops are watching this. run, run, run, short pass here and there, UL struggling to stop the run. Just like they did last year.

In all fairness, that block in the back penalty that put Lousiville in the hole and took away a TD return was pretty weak too.

Does duke have 3 punters?

That would be funny ... if an offense is so bad that a team has to rotate punters.

I acknowledged it. Strategy simply looked to be run clock and not worried about score. But like I said, it is working but they have to play D.

And yes, UK will have to run, run, run against them.

Duke is kicking themselves in the *** in this game. I've watched it from the beginning and they're making little mistakes that are costing them the game.

too bad, the kid was just trying to make a play but it cost his team a chance to win the game. The pressure on UL woulda been crazy if they had to defend the last series! Oh well

ACC keeping their golden goose alive in the heisman race with these calls. If Louisville can't handle a team they were a 5 touchdown favorite against at home, just do whatever is nessasary to keep them alive

And this is exactly the reason we can win that game. Our strength is their weakness.

Clemson struggled against Troy, one game a season does not make.
you are right, your team got a W ,, Lamar got too cute several times I thought! Better quit listening to the accolades and just play. Early in the game when he made that great fake handoff he then held onto the ball WAY too long when he had the receiver standing in the flat waitin,, then he threw over his head. Just pitch it out there for at least 30 yard gain and probably a TD. I think he played too "cool" the whole game!! Congratulations on the win though.

That game is still a long away off. While Duke had a good game plan I would say UofL will of course watch the film and see where they could have done things to change the tempo of the game.
