DUKE IS YOUR ACC SOFTBALL CHAMPS!
Really amazing considering the youth of the program itself!
My friend's daughter is an excellent softball player at a small college. She received serious attention from Duke, but was not ACC material. So I was surprised to read about the Championship. My friend said that the Duke coach is excellent

How do you get serious attention but not acc material?
That was my question. My friend told me that his daughter was being recruited by Duke, but wasn't athletic enough to play in the ACC. I later found out that Duke was launching a program. First year as a Varsity team was 2017. The daughter was playing in tournaments every weekend. She reached her full size and speed when she was 14. She plays for Lipscomb
Duke beat UNCG in the first round of the NCAA tournament 2-0. Lost to pod host Georgia 1-0. On to an elimination game
Scoreless against Western Kentucky in the ninth. Both teams with only 3 hits. Duke has 3 errors, WKU no errors. Winner plays Georgia on Sunday
Duke scores four in the 12th inning to beat Western Kentucky 4-0. Need to beat Georgia twice on Sunday to advance to the Regional. The Duke pitcher only threw about 130 pitches in 12 innings.
